He is Sikandar Raza, a cricketer from Zimbabwe. He was born in Pakistan. In a podcast, he said that in Zimbabwe, Muslims are not allowed to perform animal sacrifice for Eid even inside their homes. Zimbabwe has laws that require animal slaughter to be carried out only in designated slaughterhouses. Many Muslims living in Zimbabwe, including Sikandar Raza, do not seem to have a problem with this. Meanwhile, when Hindus in India oppose animal sacrifice being carried out in open areas, housing societies, or residential buildings, they are often labeled as communal. Liberals and Muslims say that they are trying to spoil the atmosphere during Eid or that they are opposing the festival itself. If such a law can be followed in Zimbabwe, then why can't it be implemented in India as well?
