There is one guy in my office, and he really wears very cool T-shirts.
Sometimes I think of complimenting him that he really got a good choice and T-shirt collection.
But then I realize it's India; you can't compliment men, because everyone else will assume that "she is giving hints."
Whereas it will be merely a compliment from my side.

This is my personally experienced remedy for diabetes.
Take five seers of large bitter gourds (green vegetable). Cut them lengthwise into two pieces each. Then spread them on a cloth to dry. Keep in mind that they must be dried in the shade; they should not be exposed to sunlight at all. Otherwise, half will dry and half will rot.
Those that dry properly should have their rough outer peel scraped off with a knife. Then grind them into a fine powder. Take one tola of this fine powder in the morning on an empty stomach and one tola at night before sleeping with water.
By taking this for 15 days or one month, the disease is said to disappear. Diabetes later leads to heart attack and high blood pressure, and it also negatively affects reproductive strength. Therefore, destroying this disease is considered very necessary.

@Blazethecurious It is said that Magnesium Bis Glycinate- is better that plain Glycinate- since it helps in repairing linkages in the brain also in addition to all other advantages... What's your take ??
English

DID YOU KNOW??
Magnesium glycinate is often called the "chill pill" of the mineral world because it is one of the only forms of magnesium that can effectively cross the blood-brain barrier.
While other forms of magnesium (like citrate) are mostly known for their "laxative" effect on the gut, the "glycinate" version is chemically bound to the amino acid glycine, which acts as a calming neurotransmitter in its own right. Let me explain 👇🏾👇🏾
1. The "Lock and Key" Mechanism:
Magnesium glycinate doesn't just "relax" you; it physically blocks the "stress" receptors in your brain.
NMDA Receptors are the receptors responsible for "exciting" your neurons. Magnesium sits inside these receptors like a plug, preventing them from over-firing.
It also helps your body utilize GABA, the primary "inhibitory" neurotransmitter that tells your brain it’s time to stop worrying and start resting. This is why many people in 2026 use it as a non-habit-forming sleep aid.
2. Muscle Recovery and the "Twitch" Fix:
If you’ve ever experienced restless legs or a "twitching" eyelid, your body is likely screaming for magnesium. In your muscles, calcium causes fibers to contract, while magnesium causes them to relax. Without enough magnesium, your muscles stay in a state of "micro-contraction."
Magnesium is a co-factor in over 300 enzymatic reactions, including the creation of ATP (the energy currency of your cells). By taking glycinate, you aren't just relaxing; you're providing the "fuel" your muscles need to repair themselves after a workout.
3. Why "Glycinate" is the Gold Standard:
There are dozens of magnesium types, but glycinate is the favorite of many doctors for three specific reasons.
A. Bioavailability: Because it’s chelated (bound to amino acids), your body recognizes it as "food" rather than a rock, absorbing it much more efficiently through the intestinal wall.
B. Gut Comfort: It is "buffered," meaning it’s much less likely to cause the "emergency bathroom trips" associated with cheaper magnesium oxide or citrate.
C. Glycine Bonus: You get the benefits of the glycine molecule itself, which has been shown to lower core body temperature, a biological "trigger" that tells your brain it's time for deep sleep.
4. The "Soil Depletion" Reality:
Nutritionists are increasingly focused on the fact that modern industrial farming has depleted the magnesium levels in our soil.
Even if you eat a diet rich in spinach, nuts, and seeds, you might be getting 30% to 40% less magnesium than your grandparents did from the same foods.
This has made magnesium glycinate one of the most researched and recommended supplements for managing the "background anxiety" of modern life.
5. Blood Pressure and Heart Health:
Magnesium is a natural vasodilator. It helps the smooth muscles in your blood vessels relax, which allows blood to flow more easily.
The heart is the most magnesium-dependent organ in the body. It helps maintain the "electrical timing" of your heartbeat. When you are stressed, your body dumps magnesium into your urine. This creates a "stress loop": Stress depletes magnesium → Low magnesium makes you more sensitive to stress → You get more stressed. Breaking this loop is often the first step in holistic stress management.
A NOTE ON SAFETY!
While magnesium glycinate is generally very safe, you should always check with a doctor if you have kidney issues, as the kidneys are responsible for filtering excess magnesium out of your system.
Hopefully you've learnt something new today.
Cheers 🥂 🙂

MAGNESIUM GLYCINATE is not a sleeping pill. I took 400mg one night when my body was tired, but my mind was still moving. I expected a knockout. That did not happen. My jaw softened first. My shoulders dropped. My legs stopped gripping. Sleep came later, quietly. That is when I understood the real lesson. Magnesium does not force sleep. It helps the body stop bracing. 🌿

Once upon a time before the multiplex boom and OTT, Hyderabad had some great single screen theaters, that were iconic in their own right. Many of them have closed down due to various reasons. Thread on some of them.
Sangeet, Secunderabad- The go to destination for Hollywood flicks, and it showed the best ones. If a movie was released in Sangeet, you could vouch for it's quality. Also was the first theater in twin cities to get DTS, and Optical Stereo Sound.
It shut down in 2008, due to renovation work, and has not opened later. It was a truly iconic place, very posh, excellent seating, and sound system.
Another good theater for Hollywood movies was Surya 70/35 mm in Abids, showed some really good movies, but closed down quite long time back.
Skyline/Sterling in Basheerbagh was another good theater for Hollywood flicks, a major landmark in that area. Again they showed some pretty good movies, and Basic Instinct ran close to a year in Sterling.
Anand on S.D.Road in Secunderabad, was another go to, usually for Bollywood movies, but they also showed some good English ones, remember watching Lord of the Rings here.
Odeon near RTC X roads, a complex of 3 theaters- 70mm, 35 mm and Mini Odeon, showed the latest Telugu movies, had a great sound system. One of Chiranjeevi's favorite theaters. I believe it's now a multiplex.
Maheshwari-Parameshwari, the original multiplex in Hyderabad, with escalators, rich lavish look, popular site for movie shoots, was a tourist attraction by itself. It's now converted into an Inox Multiplex.
If you were a lover of old Hindi movies, there were a host of theaters in Hyderabad- Zamrud in Abids, Lata near Nampally, Dilshad, Navarang, Vikrant near Jambagh, Royal near Koti, all of which have closed down.
Some other popular single screens near RTC X roads that have shut down are Subash, Tirumala. I guess only Sandhya, Sudarshan, Devi are around.
Lakdikapool had Shaam, Amravati both closed down. There was another one Meera now its Sensation Theater.
Deepak, Venkatesa, Srinivasa in Narayanaguda popular for Telugu movies are also shut down now. Also there was Kishore in Narayanaguda for Hollywood flicks.
Kumar in Kacheguda was popular for Hollywood movies, but now it just runs some B-Grade stuff.
Santosh/Sapna for Bollywood is still around, and Ramakrishna theaters owned by NTR family is now a multiplex. Another theater Tarakarama though is no longer there.
Secunderabad had a whole lot of well known single screen theaters Nataraj, Manju, Manohar all shut down.
This is not an exhaustive list, there are many other such single screens closed down in Hyderabad/Secunderabad or closing down. Lot of memories associated with them.

#WATCH | Chennai | AIADMK National Spokesperson Kovai Sathyan, says, "TVK is the one that gave a confession, claiming that we are the single largest party with 108 seats, and we have the support of 5 more. So, the Governor is duty-bound to ask, 'Where are the other 5?'..."
