BSS hosted a coding competition in the library today - 31 teams from BSS, HC, SHS, NDSS, St. Theresa, and Eastside competed for compu-glory. Congrats to all the teams, especially our own Bronze & Gold winners! @bssCompSci

How does a HS kid go from commentating @BayridgeSS_LDSB games, to covering @KASSAASports major events, and now doing colour for the @OUAsport Canadian National title basketball game, watched by thousands nationwide? At this pace, Jacob may be doing the Stanley Cup finals in June!

In 2017, 4 students participated in the @UWaterlooCEMC Canadian Computing Competition. Yesterday, we had 50 @BayridgeSS_LDSB students pack room 140 to give it their best shot. Truly amazing growth. So happy to see so many awesome young people taking on these challenges.

138 grade 9s and 10s from @BayridgeSS_LDSB jammed the cafeteria today to participate in the @CEMC Beaver Computing Contest. Another 964 students in grades 4-8 were supported by BSS Computer Specialist students while doing it at their elementary schools. Pretty cool.

Regardless, with a National title and a trip to a $23 million gaming arena in Windsor, an amazingly successful year 1 of Esports @BayridgeSS_LDSB! So proud of all involved and so grateful to Matt and Dan @OntFSEA for their TIRELESS work in getting it all set up for the students.

A heart-breaking, almost-had-it, loss in the provincial semi-finals for our Blazers 1 team of Caleb, Owen, Jacob and a quarter-final finish for our Blazers 2 team of Milo, Miguel, Evan at the @OntFSEA Provincial Championships at @StClairCollege. #bssCompSci
