Does this chemical process seem “primal” and something you should be megadosing? Creatine monohydrate is synthesized industrially in a two-step process using sarcosine (derived from synthesized glycine, made via chloroacetic acid and ammonia, methylated with formaldehyde or methanol) and cyanamide (from calcium cyanamide, produced from limestone-derived calcium carbide and nitrogen, or urea from ammonia and CO₂). The process begins by dissolving sarcosine in water or methanol/ethanol, adding sodium hydroxide to form sodium sarcosinate. Cyanamide is then added, and the mixture is heated for condensation, forming creatine with water facilitating hydrolysis. Hydrochloric or sulfuric acid adjusts pH for crystallization. I know how popular creatine is but my rule of thumb is that something that goes through this much chemical industrial process is not ideal for the body long term.

@JohnSpeakman4 @bryan_johnson He states on his website that he is on a 10% hypocaloric diet. How is that not considered calorie restriction?

@revelatas @lowmegatron Whey protein isolate is an UPF. That doesn't mean it's in the same category as Oreos. Demonizing all UPF is stupid.

@revelatas @lowmegatron By that reasoning, dietary fat and protein are also not 'harmless' because both of those macros can also be problematic when overly consumed. Sugar in the right amount is good!

Sometimes I get a craving for potato chips (crisps). I try to get the ones made with olive oil, and I love to eat them while eating cheese (especially Brie). When I say “while”…I mean the same mouthful. That’s just how I roll. Can anyone relate?

@meta_boli @HansAmato Try adding honey, or plain ole sucrose. The added sugars stimulate lactase enzymes in the digestive tract. Many people have 'cured' their lactose intolerance this way.

I’ve consumed: - 1000 eggs in 30 days - 15 large oysters a day for 30 days - 250g of beef liver for 30 days But nothing was as health-promoting and anabolic as 5L of milk a day. Benefits I’ve gotten so far: - Massive improvement in hair quality and literally started regrowing hair within 6 days of starting. 🤯 - Complete elimination of bad body odor - 2-4 perfect, odorless, ghost wipe poops per day - Great, clear skin - Enhanced skin quality and more oilyness (in a good way) - Faster recovery in the gym at higher volumes - Faster beard growth - Superior satiety and blood sugar control even in a deficit

Here a 10 ways to love sugar: 1. Eat it with salt and smile. 2. Drink OJ because you’re not afraid. 3.Add honey to coffee and be a rebel. 4.Let cola be your anti-stress weapon. 5.Use sweet things to fix “hangry”. 6.Add white sugar to milk and call it thyroid medicine. 7. A Portuguese tart solves all. 8.A spoonful of honey replaces toxic toothpaste. 9.Have dessert for breakfast because you can. 10. Sugar syrup is medicine.

If only you could win a nutrition or health debate the same way you win a match on the mat, by making the other person tap out or, even better, putting them to sleep. Then the question could finally be settled. My prediction? Sugar wins… every time.

@Outdoctrination You can solve all dental issues by avoiding sugars. Early humans would never have survived without healthy teeth. An animal based diet was the best choice to keep teeth healthy for a lifetime. This is just basic anthropology.

It’s honestly incredible how effective peating is for muscle growth. By minimizing stressors (PUFAs, gut) you allow much greater adaption. It makes sense why Stan Efferding’s diet, which was heavily inspired by peat, is widely used by athletes.
