🇭🇹 Members of the Kenya-led Multinational Security Support mission in Haiti raped four Haitian females in four separate incidents — three of them children aged 12, 16, 16, and 18, with all cases corroborated by UN investigators, according to a UN report cited by Miami Herald. 🔸The Kenya-led force, authorized in 2023 by the Security Council to combat gang violence, is now withdrawing from Haiti. A new anti-gang force began its deployment Wednesday as a replacement. 🔸Three of the four cases remain listed as “pending” for action. In the case of the 12-year-old, the only step taken was an internal investigation by the mission itself. No external charges have been filed. 🔸The revelations echo a devastating pattern from Haiti’s previous UN peacekeeping mission, MINUSTAH, which concluded in 2017 after a 13-year deployment. ◽️An AP investigation found at least 134 Sri Lankan peacekeepers had operated a child sex ring in Haiti between 2004 and 2007, victimizing at least nine children — the youngest just 12.
