At this time exactly 5 years ago I was taken to ICU after I nearly drank myself to death. I was there for 3 days. I was utterly broken after 25 years of addiction, depression and anxiety.
Today I help street dogs and have been sober since. My message to you today is that there is always hope. There is always a second chance. You can do this. ❤️

My $.02 about the fraud discourse: my brother was the clearest cut case for someone deserving government aid and the hoops we jumped through nearly bankrupted my family and killed him numerous times.
I am fearful the equilibrium we will land on will endanger many more families.

It’s one thing to not support Medicare for All. It’s another thing to purposely spread misinformation about it, and a Public Option, when you know better.
Medicare for All uses our tax dollars to fund a universal healthcare (not insurance) system that covers everyone, expands coverage to include vision, hearing, dental and longterm care. Its cuts spending by up to $450 billion per year, and saves families money by eliminating copays, premiums and deductibles.
A Public Option, while better than our current system, is still insurance-based, still benefits the private insurance industry, would leave millions without coverage, keeps healthcare costs high, and costs more than our current system.
Healthcare misinformation costs lives, not just money.

Too often, the debate on healthcare focuses only on insurance and how we pay for care. Yes, let’s fix that system. Let’s create a public option to ensure everyone has coverage and we drive costs down. But let’s shift the conversation to the underlying system and how we build one based on health outcomes, not just how we pay for a broken system.

1. Read multiple formats : physical books, ebooks, audiobooks etc
2. Read daily, even if it’s 10 pages.
3. Read books you’re actually excited about
4. DNF without guilt - if a book isn’t working
for you, drop it!
5. Use short pockets of time including Waiting in queues, commuting to work etc
6. Get an e-reader if you can afford it, no distractions.
7. Follow curiosity, not trends.
