I want to hear the first local, county, state official ask “how’re you going to pay for it”? We already pay for it. Governments need to tighten their belts & weed out lazy employees.

Most government employees work hard and well. I was one for 23 years. This illustrates a problem: Our contracts with grantees were 9 pages long when I started. At the end of my career, they were more than 30 pages. Laws and regulations are rarely repealed. They are amended.

@_Postive_Vibes I agree in principle, but how will local communities meet their expenses? What alternatives could replace real estate taxes? Of course, many towns and cities can drastically cut expenses. Town managers don't need to set up fiefdoms with ever expanding benefits and programs.
