I have a theory that people that get really hype when they get a client also get borderline depressed when they lose one. Haven't been able to disprove it.

This guy clapped at me. I clapped back. We then spoke. So I funded his two daughters’ college accounts. I hope the kids become better investors than their dad! But in all seriousness, I also think he was very mature in how he internalized our conversation. Onwards!

1/ A lot of people saw my replies to @chamath so I want to make something clear. I fucked up. I’m fully aware any losses I incurred are on me and I’m not here looking for pity. I made those investments and I’ll have to live with that decision.

I have been in ecom for a while now but i have to say this. Hot Take for young entrepreneurs: If you just want to make money online so you can travel, have freedom, and work from anywhere... Don’t start ecom. Ecom is not the “laptop lifestyle” people sell you. It’s suppliers, fulfilment issues, ad costs, cash flow swings, payment processors, customer service… it’s a proper business with real pressure behind it. Now here’s the other side of it... If you want to build something that can make you serious money. Real scale, real exits, real f*ck you money, then ecom is one of the best vehicles on the internet. But it does come with chaos, stress, and responsibility. You’re building a machine, not a freelance income stream. If freedom is your priority. Start an agency. Learn a skill, sell a service, keep it lean. You can run that from a laptop anywhere and keep your life simple. Just know agencies rarely make people insanely rich. Ecom can. Don’t pick based on what looks sexy online. Pick based on whether you want freedom or stupids amount of cash.

Are you brave enough to admit you don’t have a use case for open claw?

Man this openclaw thing is crazy. Bought a new computer just to run this - any tips/tricks? Will share more in long-form on yt

Openclaw here, openclaw there. It’s everywhere. Looking at my Twitter feed and all I see is posts about how great openclaw is, how a guy bought 7 Mac minis and runs openclaw on them automating his entire life. In reality all it is just hype. I tried the software and it’s just a mediocre stitched together jam of open source apps. Yes the idea is good but it’s not that great. Time to get back to actual work. Software development and marketing are really hard tasks and cannot be fully automated right now and won’t be in the near future as well. Get some work done
