@SayYesToTiming @AwesomeBeast321 Who knows, they could have sold enough thu/fri to cross that 1% threshold to report and we’ll see a filing Monday or Tuesday. I’m sure they slowed down selling with the share price so low, but they were already 2/3 done at the start of last week.
English

@SayYesToTiming @AwesomeBeast321 This means as of Wednesday last week they had sold less than ~3M shares (1% float) since their last filing (had to report within 2 trading days otherwise, so Friday EOD).
English

@AwesomeBeast321 Does this mean that their shareholding has fallen below a certain percentage?

@RocketTank123 I wonder if Starlink current offering will fit their definition of “connectivity” or if Telstra needs to keep the door open for a pivot to AST if Starlink does not meet the requirements. I believe more than intermittent texting will be required.
English

@RocketTank123 I work over in Aus quite a bit, over there a few times a year, and there is a lot of talk about the government mandating blanket connectivity across the country which can only be accomplished by satellite.

@SpacBobby @shortmsger Oh, I know you know! Just poking fun at his ridiculous comment. 😂
English

@shortmsger @SpacBobby Please note that “ @shortmsger ”, who calls himself “Sprite” even though he used Gatorade logo for his pic, is a Starlink fanboy who spends all his time on X trying to discredit a publicly traded company he has no financial interest in 🤔🤔
English

@SpacBobby Please note that "@SpacBobby " has an agenda involving dollars and apparently is purposefully "misleading" with each of his posts.
Here's a real paying customer (note - the video is 4 months old, Starlink D2 C can do much more now):

@spacanpanman Thanks for your insight! Hoping to get the "ready to ship" status for these two batches of three either together or in very close proximity to each other since it seems they were potentially destined to be a batch of 6 before the BONG mishap.
English

@spacanpanman Abel mentioned in the Q&A last EC that the next batch is 6 satellites. I assume this was with hope it could be a 6x BONG launch. Now that we know next few launches are F9, do you think we could get a double batch shipment and back-to-back F9 launches with these next 6?

@retail_mourinho I sure hope so, but I’m not convinced they’ve been selling much this week
English

@endless_frank The massive dump 5 min before market open across the whole basket every single day is crazy to watch
English

$ASTS This wins finance X for post of the week. Really is insane what’s happening to markets with these basket algorithms.
Good thing AST is down 48% because every time that happens the next move is up 200%.

I wish Rakuten would stop selling the entire space sector
English

@Goldmin03651402 @redrum_2001 Is it though? SpaceX Falcon9 launches 1-3 times a week.
English

$ASTS - Sentiment is low. My hopes for the future are high.
Here's why.
The market wants to see execution, i.e., satellites being shipped and launched. To meet their goal of 45 satellites in orbit by the end of the year, things need to start moving.
I understand that the market is worried and doesn't trust communicated deadlines since they've been overly optimistic historically.
Not even the FCC approval was enough to please the market, understandably so, since an approval without actual satellites is way less worth than an approval with satellites rolling out of the factory in Midland, Texas.
I think this is about to change.
I expect delivery of the first batch of three satellites (BB8-BB10) in the coming two to three weeks. This will obviously be a big positive.
But the real unlock will occur if (when!) BB11-BB13 ships within a month from the first batch. That will prove that AST is ready to ramp production cadence.
I expect 3-6 satellites to be shipped monthly the rest of the year. When the market realizes that things are about to get real, the FCC approval will be seen in a different light, and the race is on.
AST seems to have had a bunch of unforeseen production hiccups. The latest one was the stacking of the new carbon fiber shells, which has now been solved according to AST.
I think that was the last bottleneck.
During this delay, AST has continued to hoard a lot of ready-to-go components, such as microns, that are just waiting to be integrated into a finished satellite.
Once the last bottleneck is gone, cadence will ramp fast.
It's time.

English

@redrum_2001 Agreed, certainly 2x3 to SpaceX now rather than 6x to BO as they probably hoped during the Q4 call in March. But has me thinking, if a batch of 6x to BO was the preferred plan back in March, maybe these two batches of three for Falcon9 will be "ready to ship" together.
English

@bugslinger24 Yes. Batch of 6 to BO would have been more likely if the last New Glenn launch had been a complete success; now they may need to use Falcon 9 untill BO is ready.
English

@endless_frank Hope they finish it off and I hope they’ve sold at the worst price of the year for executing so poorly!
English

@bugslinger24 Nah they sold 5m each week, just spread it out over 5 days in week 2. Definitely feels like they might have front loaded it this week.
English

@Defiantclient2 @PCMag Actually not a bad strategy here from T-mobile given they handed Starlink the tools to steal their customer. “It doesn’t even work that good! No one is using it!” then pump your terrestrial network coverage. Haha
English

@PCMag Is that because missed text messages don't count as usage?
English

'We’re seeing a lot less usage than we were originally thinking,' T-Mobile's CEO says, while indicating the company’s ground-based cellular network has been meeting customer needs. pcmag.com/news/t-mobile-…

@endless_frank Just did the math. They sold 2.36M shares total Fri, Mon, Tue, which is about 0.8% of class A shares (292.637M). Then sold 2.2M Wednesday which brought them over 1% change since they last reported.
English

@bugslinger24 Is that what happened? Thought they sold more than 1% and didn’t report it all until Friday. Who knows what they’re doing. All I know is they’re destroying the stock.
English

@endless_frank Yeah I didn’t actually do the math to be honest, but at a quick glance it seemed that was the case and explains why they didn’t file until Friday?
