@DanielSmidstrup It helps engineers go beyond architecture diagrams and actually understand the concepts, tradeoffs, and patterns behind real production systems. Not just studying for the sake of interviews.

Spent some time away building something I really believe should exist. Arcflow is now live. A platform for engineers who want to understand production systems beyond the diagram: system design, distributed systems, and real tradeoffs. arcflow.me

Took some time off to build something I really wanted to exist. Arcflow is now live. Built for engineers who want to understand why systems break, scale, queue, cache, and recover in production. System design, distributed systems, and real tradeoffs. arcflow.me

@MrPerfect797 Arcflow is my attempt to make system design content more honest. Less diagram memorization. More tradeoffs, failure modes, scaling pressure, and production reality. If you like backend engineering and distributed systems, have a look: arcflow.me

Frontend is treated like presentation. It’s not. It’s the layer that decides what gets attention and what gets ignored. Same backend. Same features. Different frontend. Completely different outcome

People don’t abandon products suddenly. They lose interest gradually. One unclear screen. One unnecessary step. One moment where nothing feels worth continuing. That’s enough. You don’t notice the drop. But it’s already happening.

There’s a quiet problem in product teams. Nobody wants to remove anything. Adding feels productive. Removing feels risky. So products grow. Not better. Just heavier. Real design starts when you decide what doesn’t deserve to exist.

We’ve made UI so clean that everything looks the same. Soft shadows. Neutral colors. Perfect spacing. It looks right. It feels forgettable. At some point, we optimized aesthetics so much that we removed personality.

Most onboarding flows feel like an apology. “Let me explain everything before you get lost.” If your product needs a guided tour to make sense, something is already off. Good products don’t introduce themselves. They make themselves obvious.
