one week between "I should just get a job" and "I cant stop now."
2 weeks ago I was at 0€ revenue and close to giving up. months of building an app that went nowhere. 20 active users who seemed to love it, zero paying. years of side projects before that, all fun but broke.
then I built something new in a week and it made money almost the same day. little under 200€ before spending anything on ads. no big exciting idea, just a concept thats already proven and trending, built my own way with taste and polish. its way simpler than I made it for years.
the hard part is scaling this profitably now.

@thedankoe the stuff that sticks isn’t what you read, it’s what you used within a week of reading it

chatgpt work is remarkable, and "work" undersells it.
from my phone i sent:
"use all my chat history to figure out ideas for a long weekend trip with 8 friends, plan the best three options, make a full-stack site where the 9 of us can coordinate on what we would want to do in each place and decide where to go, and then after we get to group agreement make reservations. draft an email in my gmail i can send out to my friends when the site is ready."
it...just worked.

things nobody tells you before you start vibecoding:
• deploying is a different skill than building. your app can work perfectly on localhost and break the second it’s live
• auth is where most first apps die. it’s boring, it’s not optional, and ai tools still make you do most of the thinking
• your data doesn’t persist unless you tell it to. lost my first “finished” app because i never set up a real database
• “it works” and “it works when someone else uses it” are two different milestones
• the hardest bugs aren’t the ones ai can’t fix. they’re the ones you don’t know how to describe

A fake dating app just crossed 200K a month
Every match is AI, and here is the catch:
- You swipe, you match, you start talking
- The chat cuts off mid-reply
- To keep going, you pay or spend gems
- Trial 8,99 € a week, or buy gems by the pack
They are not selling romance
They are selling the fear of being left on read by someone who is not real

Someone is competing with Duolingo using brainrot images and makes 8K a month Aplastar means to crush, so they show you a giant plaster crushing a building Keymagine. Vocabulary app, 5000 words - Each word gets an English keyword that sounds like it - Arroz becomes arrows, lavar becomes lava - Then a generated image of that exact nonsense - Weekly 5,99 €, or the whole year for 34,99 € Every word is a lesson and a screenshot at the same time
