@bukelesSoldier Los pochos festejan el 5 de mayo comiendo la "tradicional" comida mexicana conocida como burritos y el fray chiquen. Y luego discriminan a los mexicanos recién llegados y dicen cosas como "yo no hablar espanol". Nada más les gusta ser "mexicanos" cuando les conviene.

I've solved the issue Mexicans and pochos are having: Americans often use nationality words as ancestry labels. Mexicans often use them as national identity labels. In American speech 'I’m Mexican' often means 'I’m of Mexican descent.' Just like 'I’m Irish/Italian/Cuban' Nobody thinks 'this guy is literally a citizen of Ireland and has the same lived experience' I hope this clears up the confusion.
