My mum argued with a man on a bus, he was shouting & speaking big grammar. Then mum said, “That’s why your wife left you.” 💀 Mind you, she’s never met him before.
After abt 10 mins of silence, the man softly said, “I didn’t drive her… it was her mum that told her to leave.” 😭

My uncle has been accusing my mom, and his other siblings, of using his “glory” for as long as I can remember. He did it again recently and my mom told him that his glory is no longer useful and she’s now planning to use his children’s glory instead. He started crying 😭😭😭

There are a lot of grey areas in this Prof Joash Ojo Amupitan's CV as put forward in the Statehouse Press Release signed by Mr Bayo Onanuga.
Let me speak to just a few of them for now:
1. He was born in 1967. There's no problem in that.
2. 'After completing primary and secondary education', he attended Kwara state Polytechnic... from 1982 to 1984.
Note: we are neither told the names of the primary and secondary schools he attended, nor the time lines of his attendance.
Moreover, by 1982 when he was said to have attended the Kwara state Polytechnic; he was just 15. How did he do it back then? Maybe if we have the details of his primary and secondary schools attendance, we would have better understanding. Additionally, what did he study at the Polytechnic?
3. He attended University of Jos 1984-1987 to study law.
How did he get a law degree in Nigeria within 3 years? Law is 5 years.
4. He got his PhD in 2007.
But he became the Head (of Department) of Public Law 2006-2008, and Dean of the Law Faculty 2008-2014. That means that he became the Head of Department before earning his PhD, and the Dean of faculty one year after his PhD. How did these happen in a federal university, not even in a mushroom private university?
I have a fair understanding of the academic. Such things don't happen. I believe the people who packaged this CV owe us more explanation of the missing links in the CV.

Last Sunday, as worship was going on, I found myself thinking—do we really believe the songs we sing? Our songs are not shallow. They carry profound theology, loaded with the language of redemption, identity, and victory.
In truth, many of our worship lyrics express a deeper understanding of God than most sermons ever do. Yet as we lift our hands and close our eyes, it often seems that we are emotionally moved by the melody but disconnected from its message.
We sing truths we rarely translate into conviction. We declare freedom yet pray as though we are still bound. We proclaim victory but approach God as if defeat is inevitable. We sing of grace but pray like beggars still waiting for mercy. We affirm His presence but plead as though He is distant.
Our songs ascend with revelation, but our prayers often descend into contradiction. We speak as sons in worship and as slaves in supplication. The sound is heavenly, but the mindset remains human.
This is one of the greatest ironies of contemporary worship: we have melody without meaning, volume without conviction. The lyrics say “It is finished,” but our attitudes whisper “Not yet.” We are emotionally stirred but not theologically rooted. We move to the rhythm of grace but still pray the language of guilt.
It is not the lack of good songs that weakens us; it is the absence of belief in the truths we sing.
The greatest betrayal of worship is not singing off-key—it is living off-truth. When our prayers contradict our songs, our faith becomes fractured. If we truly believed the words we sing, our prayers would carry more thanksgiving than anxiety, more confidence than confusion.
Because true worship doesn’t end when the music stops; it becomes posture. Those who understand what they sing don’t just lift their hands—they stand firm on revelation.

Seyi never said she joined the Illuminati for real! She was referring to the way people were reacting to some of her videos back then when she was experimenting with new sounds! Y’all really need to chill with the silly rumors ! @Offair_show

One of the greatest adjustments every believer must make in prayer is not first in the mouth but in the mind.
James declares: “Let him ask in faith, with no doubting… for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. Let not that man suppose he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” (James 1:6-8).
Double-mindedness is a thief that hides in polite religion. It masquerades as balance, but it is bondage dressed in wisdom. It splits your gaze, fractures your confidence, and drains your prayer of power.
Look at the many faces it wears:
Oscillating between the absolute victory of Jesus and the folklore of a ferocious devil — one moment you shout “It is finished” and the next you are analysing the strength of the contrary notions.
Looking up to God yet leaning on man — as though human favour is the true source while God is the spare tyre.
Praying as if Christ is Lord, then bargaining as if heaven is reluctant — a faith that pleads and panics in the same breath.
Standing on a promise but secretly preparing for disappointment — a hidden plan B that cancels plan A.
Such divided hearts cannot receive because receiving demands a settled posture.
The Call to Single-Mindedness
The kingdom does not reward spiritual tourism; it honours decisive trust.
Single-mindedness is not stubbornness; it is clarity anchored in Christ’s triumph.
“If your eye is single, your whole body will be full of light.” Matthew 6:22.
To receive from the Lord:
1. Anchor your persuasion in the finished work of Jesus. Stop cross-examining Calvary as though the verdict might change.
2. Silence rival voices. Culture, superstition, self-condemnation and doom-prophecies do not get a vote in the prayer room.
3. Stay on the line until the delivery lands. Waves stop a boat only when the sailor abandons the oar.
Faith is not a weekend guest; it is a permanent resident in the soul.
The Posture That Pulls Heaven to Earth
Receiving is not wrestling something out of God’s tight fist; it is stretching out empty hands with unwavering focus.
Single-mindedness says:
“Jesus has paid — I refuse to add fear as tax.”
“God alone is my Source — I will not flirt with man’s applause.”
“The promise is sure — I will not dig a grave for it while I am still praying.”
The heart that is steady, whole, and focused on the Lord stands like granite against every storm. Such a one does not chase shadows or negotiate with doubt.
Bottom line: If you want to receive, settle it once and for all. The victory of Christ is absolute, His Word is final, and your heart will not waver.
Single-mindedness is not optional; it is the only posture that opens the treasury of heaven.
