Wow guys. Typically love your show. She’s pretty off the rails though. Topic after topic. Tariffs are a tax? Short term maybe. Trump says you agree to build in and buy USA = tariff goes away. Fascist Dictator sending Am troops into only Red states? He sent them to fight crime at the request of Governors. Only requests were from Red states. Destroying our economy? Manufacturing plants (jobs) are being built all over the Country. She’s the perfect example of TDS

So, we’re supposed to think that moody’s has some keen proprietary insight into the most traded and analyzed asset on the planet? What about those collateralized mortgage obligations that had us buy at AAA rating? Those still good?

It is not an exaggeration to say the pharma industry systematically took over American media over the last 30 years(just look at the numbers)..I was an advocate of direct to consumer advertising under a a free market umbrella…I was wrong..

That’s funny! Fair is fair! Doubt that deters the tariff threat though. The point is to get Mexico to stop the flow of illegal immigrants. That, per the Mexican President, is now happening. The threat worked. We’ll see if Trump backs off of implementation. Still curious about your thoughts on Trudeau.

Ok found an article. The new Mexican President pointed out that the tariffs would increase prices on products made in Mexico by US owned companies. Primarily car/truck makers. Could cause the loss of 400,000 US jobs. Not good for Trump. She also said, that she is already stopping the flow of migrants and drugs through Mexico, saying the US border is effectively closed (except at legal check points). Both said the phone call was very productive. I’d expect Trump to verify that the flows are stopping, and then reduce or remove the tariffs. But we’ll see.

@ilsLaura @Big_Orrin And, respectfully, the threat of tariffs are working in Canada, too. We have avoided walking over the cliff together. 😊

@ilsLaura @Big_Orrin Ah. Admittedly, I could do more research there. I’m sure the numbers at our Northern border are MUCH lower. Genuine question, what are your thoughts on Trudeau’s job? I only hear bits and pieces. Do you feel more free or less free? No change? Again, genuinely curious

You again make a good point about the good stories of the unvetted. These past few years have just been like NOTHING we’ve ever experienced. Incredible numbers. More vetting is smart. I have to jump for now. I’ve really enjoyed the civil conversation. At some point, I’d genuinely like to get your thoughts on migration in the UK. London in particular. Cheers from Texas

Yes, I would do the same as a father if I were them. My mother in law is an immigrant. My son in law, now a Dr., is an immigrant. I love those American Dream stories. Truly. My stance is based on not knowing WHO these unvetted immigrants are. Are they criminals? Drug mules? Chinese militia? German footballers? We have no idea. Seems crazy.
