What if you were a police officer and faced so much scrutiny for serving and protecting? The green supporters are either privileged uni students or unemployed weirdos

“Apprehending violent and dangerous criminals is a full contact and messy task which may appear shocking to observers with little experience of policing in the real world.” Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley writes to Zack Polanski.

@sophielouisecc I secretly believe the same of autistic people. And I secretly believe some autistic children are just spoiled, indulged by attention seeking parents.

It is not right for people with ADHD to expect the world to remove any minor inconvenience for them because they have ADHD
You aren’t incapable of queuing
You aren’t incapable of getting a bus or train
You aren’t incapable of working
It’s complete nonsense - it might be uncomfortable or hard or challenging
But to suggest you can’t do these things is just a load of bollocks
English

@DefiantLs And the ironic thing is that THIS will be the death of humanity…

@brocflower @LBC @Ella_M_Whelan You missed the point. The over diagnosis is hindering the children who need it.
English

'They're being diagnosed at bizarrely young ages....'
The Telegraph's @Ella_M_Whelan condemns the 'fashion' for SEND diagnoses at schools.
English

@LBC @Ella_M_Whelan The same children who are brought up on iPads. It’s the truth!
English

@HathorsDaughter @Innappropes @DreyfusJames But they do! The queue doesn’t look as long but every other cart is designated for fast track or access passes! They do!
English

@Innappropes @DreyfusJames They don't slide in before them. It's virtual queuing so they just get taken forward when it's their turn. They've still had to wait.

So you need a quiet space away from crowds & queues at a THEME PARK, to wait for a rollercoaster, which hurtles you around until you vomit into your mouth?
I hate crowds &, whilst I approve of queuing, I don’t like doing it either.
But how is queuing at a THEME PARK “unsafe”?
Jack Roworth@RoworthJack
I have ADHD. Alton Towers removing disability access for people like me is not fairness, it's exclusion. I've written to Dame Karen Bradley MP asking her to challenge this before it becomes permanent. Disabled voices matter.
English

@DreyfusJames We have created an entitled society! We go every year and I hate it! But I do it for the kids who also hate queuing. It’s a choice we make to go on the rides. There’s nothing worse than queuing 90 mins, get to the front and there’s a group of teenagers with blue hair who skipped.
English

@JeremyVineOn5 I think it was getting out of hand. Queues are terrible and nobody likes to queue. It’s a sign of our society and entitlement with people with these diagnoses. Isn’t this what PIP is for?
English

@ThemeParkCallum Callum. It’s putting regular park goers off! Merlin isn’t a charity, it was becoming unsustainable.
Have you tried queuing for 90 mins with Children, yes it’s terrible, it’s not pleasant for anyone.
English

Merlin changing the requirements so thoes with hidden disabilities are no longer able to use the ride access queue is disgusting. They need to change it back!

@davidgiles87 @ZiaYusufUK But genuine question… isn’t this what the PIP payment is for? To buy fast passes that would help them with extra living costs because of their diagnosis.
English

@ZiaYusufUK Zia - agree with you on a lot of things. But for autistic children this was a life saver, enabling families to enjoy days out together. The headline is misleading - autism and anxiety are two different things.
English

@racheltierney12 @ZiaYusufUK If she gets full PIP and is school why can’t you buy her fast passes for it? Isn’t that what PIP is for?
English

@ZiaYusufUK So my daughter who’s autistic attends special school and gets full pip can no longer get a RAP pass either so get your facts strait before commenting on something you have no idea about. As a politician you should know this.
English

@LBC @Femi_FPolitics It’s not about skin colour. It’s culture. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand? Is he purposefully missing the point?
English

‘Women’s safety is being used as a political football.’
Political commentator @Femi_FPolitics tells Vanessa Feltz that the ‘common denominator’ in cases of sexual assault against women isn’t skin colour: ‘It’s men’.

I watched the Stranger Things finale today in a packed theater with my family. It was quite a scene. There were tons of people wearing merch, just so excited to see how the thing ends. And by the time the credits rolled, it was pretty clear that everyone loved it. There were big cheers, big laughs and lots of tears (not from me tho I'm tough 😤). I talked to my real life friends afterwards and they also seemed to enjoy it. I was honestly moved by how cool of a moment this was. An original idea that grew into a worldwide phenomenon that so many people loved. AND they gave us a solid ending. How cool is that? How rare is that? Will we ever see something like that again?
Then I check Twitter...
And it was just lots of negative commentary from people who seem to get off on hating on things that normal people enjoy. And that's when it hit me.
Twitter is our upside down. It's a lot like real life but much darker and full of negativity. Trolls are demogorgons. Elon is Vecna. And all of us are just trying to live our lives in peace with our friends.
In conclusion: Stranger Things is a really fun show and I'm grateful for all the good times it gave my family. I honestly think we grew closer bc of it. Shoutout everyone who was involved in making it.
PS: I'm clearly Steve in the analogy above.
