Our time is short and fleeting, all we have is what we are and what we feel. So balanced harm is important to us because it makes up who we are.

Whether something experiences pain or pleasure? That's a very flawed moral system. There are plenty of painful things, that are good.

Before 20 weeks, there is no mechanism to experience harm on the fetuses end of the dilemma, thats the why the cut off is set there.

Now, this is disanalogous to pregnancy, because there is a person to speak of that would be harmed if he were to killed. Its the same reason that sleeping people aren't killed for sleeping.
