@cia_plant I think the way GAA was presented was magical. we just didn't expect it, it was small and then revealed the paradise on the next day when the water lowered. All new music too. Simulanka is still the best. Enjoyed it even though I was quite disgruntled over Natlan characters.

@revieler136 @MayaTree0 I really really wish they did away with the sanity at all and run it through the factory, it's already a timed resource. instead of repeated material fights. we were already earned the resource though gameplay too.

@MayaTree0 The factory has no value anyway. Once you buy out the shop it doesnt refill with anything useful.

@snacks_fruity2 I do dread the day they roll out a new season and mix up everything adding mons and items at once. But that's assuming what's here just battling and daily grind will sustain my interest in still playing.

@snacks_fruity2 it's fine? built a team and tuned their EV spread/moves with the tutorial, achievement and BP resources. the income isn't terrible as the game has only been out for 2 days. maybe committing to both singles/doubles might be spreading F2P too thin.

Has anyone been playing pokemon champions completely free and within it's own systems? I'm talking interacting with the gacha system, the vp system with the tickets, no battle pass and 0 mons transferred from other games? What's it like?

First Impressions of Honor of Kings: World (@HoKWorld) - MMO/Singleplayer Hybrid (like Where Winds Meet) - Combat is very interesting. You use a single character you create and learn the abilities of various heroes from the popular MOBA with weapon switching between two at a time. - Combat has actual depth with the various weapon combinations. Some of the bosses actually have mechanics as well. - No Character Gacha, only cosmetic/skin gacha - Very polished but still needs work in some areas. @Iyokuu watch them distribute them in events. people now know how valuable they are and will leverage the limited nature of them. we know this from our experiences in gacha inside out lol. worst case is if they really push exclusivity through future switch 2 only Pokémon games

This is one of the things I was worried about. Not the “pay walling” but people fear mongering the incoming F2P audience over incredibly basic knowledge. You need the Pokemon games to get Pokemon: shocker. Champions was not giving anyone FREE access to 1000+ Pokemon at will.

@HacGrand @JoeMerrick idk, TCGP is the same lol. I don't think the dev team is large and they will follow Pokémons overarching media cadence. my worry is they'll do the minimum and just use this to push selling switch 2 Pokémon games and Home subs

@JoeMerrick I feel like everyone here forgets this isn't a $60 game, it's Master Duel but with Pokemon. I guarantee you this won't even be the same game 6 months from now.

@SUPAH_SUPAH even ones that try to deviate still have the structural bones. from the currency distribution doing exploration/puzzles, the events, domains for progression, account rank, the buildup to a flagship "banner". It's the old MMO problem. Even Infinity Nikki was guilty of this.

@focalorsdeath one of the worst C1 kit designs in the game for the best designed character blatant restriction and decision pressure to throw pulls to "fix" her kit it got better with Lunar Crystallize but there she is competing with so many others like Xilonen and 4*s in the last slot

@RyuukuSensei it's like so monetized now by blue ticks that have 0 skin in the game. they might be playing but they spend all day arguing on here - not making or supporting any fanwork, going to pop up/FES events and put in the west Comicons/PAX have such fan presence of gacha media too.

@RyuukuSensei End of an era. Still remember the first trailers showing up on the big stage on State of Play and the questions how it's free to play. The PS4s bottleneck is the slow HDD storage. Genshin has been directly jumping to other areas of the map to deliver seamless scenes recently.

Nah. So many japanese influencer have stated that this is overall a net-positive because they had to translate the post with ai to english before going to twitter to post for their english speaking audiences and whenever they had to reply to someone, they had to repeat the process to understand us. This is a really good thing that breaks the narrative that we have to mix different cultures that might not align with ours in our countries when we already are "co-existing" with every other culture "online".

Apparently JP posts are getting auto-translated into English now? I've seen so many in JP freaking out, some are welcoming the new attention, others are afraid because of bad interactions in the past because of faulty MTL and lack of understanding of cultural context of things.
