LootGO is proud to announce our Builders Round. Thank you to every supporter and believer who backed LootGO. This round brought together supporters and builders from @monad, @solana and @ethereum who share our vision of taking our real world treasure hunt game beyond GameFi and from Adventure to Economy. LootGO has reached not just 50K users but with insane D30 retention that is 15x stickier than the average mobile game. Some players have a 250+ day streak - which is pretty much Day 1 of launch. This community keeps actively showing up - literally. Our journey so far has been incredible. We were a Monad Madness finalist. We won the Solana Colosseum hackathon. We earned our place as a Monad Momentum project. And now we move forward with even stronger momentum. Thank you for being with us since Day 1. We are just getting started. 🦝 Read our plans beyond GameFi in our litepaper: lootgo.gitbook.io

@josipvolarevic @Maniacs_gg @SuperteamBLKN @solana_ro I understand it is something with remote control vehicles - from skimming the images. Otherwise there is too much text and I don’t know where to start to get an easy overview. I would refrain from tech diagrams unless it is super simplified and draws me in

This is exactly why I like this space. On paper I’m actually “unhirable”: - No university diploma - No formal coding experience or knowledge - Only startup experience But let me tell you, give me the most autistic and impossible challenge and you’ll wake up with a solution
Dean 利迪恩 (⚛️,🐱) | sbpf/acc@deanmlittle

If you're hiring, try setting a gauntlet like "do xyz, send me a repo with working code and i'll give you a one month trial and keep you on if it goes well." This lets people have something to aspire to that's actually what you need instead of playing the fake CV game.

At first, @burger606 feedback might sting. He doesn’t sugarcoat. Doesn’t pat you on the back for showing up. He’ll tell you your pitch is confusing, your slide 3 makes no sense, and you need to keep the pitch sharp. It might sound rude until you realize he’s one of the few who actually read it carefully. He’s not there to tear you down. He’s making your story sharper, tighter, better. Behind the bluntness is genuine care. Every founder needs a Bob who’ll say what others won’t. Just make sure you listen and maybe buy him a burger after. So anyone heading into this journey, drop a message to @burger606 and he won't hesitate with genuine feedback.

Thanks dear Slavi and dear Ansel for the comments and elaboration (I found it funny that Ansel wrote "dear burger" lmao) Not winning should def not discourage anyone, but should be taken as a major opportunity for improvement/learning. I think it is a shame to see teams put blood, sweat and tears into a project with the expectation of winning and then falling short. Either they think they are not fit for the game or they blame externalities, wherein a healthier POV is learn from the thing and get better.

No crying in the arena My non-sugarcoated & honest take to all the underdogs who want to win @colosseum and startups at all costs. If you can’t figure out how to win a hackathon, how are you going to win the real startup game where the competition is much more fierce? This message goes out to 5th to 2nd prize as well - why didn’t you place 1st? You can spend all your energy blaming politics, connections, the competition etc. But results are black and white - either you win or you lose Learn how to win the game, improve, try again Congrats to everyone who participated, the first step is always the hardest! Btw there is a lot of alpha in this post x.com/mxmnci/status/…

Losing a @colosseum hackathon myths: - you're a failure - your product sucks - no chance to ever make it Losing a hackathon reality: - You actually built something - Got really good at pitching - Found your first users One day of sad allowed and then ONWARD @Solana needs you

I respectfully disagree on the context It depends on your end-goal. 1) If you simply wanted to dip your toes into hackathons and learn new skills, then you probably wouldn’t feel too fussed about losing. 2) If you poured your heart and soul into building a sensible idea/something you want/something others want with the expectation of winning and not achieving it, then you lost. This post was dedicated to the 2nd group of people - which I frankly see all over the TL. Getting better is a win, getting better faster is more of a win.

@burger606 @colosseum when the mentality is less centered around winning, things become much easier getting better is a win. don’t build for hackathons, let hackathons help you build

@imprfekt @colosseum Tired of seeing people blame everyone but themselves (I ate a burger afterwards) yes chief, hackathons can and should just be a stepping stone

1) Not sure what the argument is here. Most hackathon winners are not looking to build long-term startups. And if you quit within Y1, by definition you probably didn’t want it bad enough. 2) I’m not saying winning hackathons is required for building startups. I’m saying the mentality is the same, being obsessed about winning is great signal for being a startup founder imo. I would say it is a vehicle to learn about startups. If you didn’t win by definition you failed. That doesn’t mean you failed in life or startups, you failed at a fun online competition. Failure is good, people should learn from it.

@burger606 @colosseum Hilariously bad take. 1) Most hackathon winners don't even survive Y1. 2) Most Solana unicorns didn't even place in the hackathon they entered before finding success. They're a vehicle to practice building in public and pitching to an audience. Not winning doesn't = failure.

On giving feedback Giving other people unfiltered and honest feedback is the best way to express empathy to the world. I have personally grown the most when people I respect roasted me to oblivion.
