Make no mistake, this is why districts like Evesham, Lenape, and Lumberton are suffering. Nearly the entirety of Newark’s $1.5 billion budget is state aid and they are a runaway train of corruption. Fix the funding formula!

I’ve been saying that the Newark School system has been setting $$ on fire because they have no idea how to spend their obscene increase in State aid - our tax dollars - while hundreds of districts have suffered massive, education-damaging, cuts. Well folks…here you have it…they are literally sautéing, frying & poaching it! 90% of this is your tax dollars. Poof! Bon appetit!!”
