🚨One of the Darkest Days in the History of Ghana This is DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) Edmund Ohene-Asah Many Ghanaians, especially the Gen Z may not know this man DSP Edmund Ohene-Asah (Retired) but his role in one of Ghana’s darkest political chapters is significant. DSP Edmund Ohene-Asah was one of the lead police investigators who helped unravel the shocking abduction and murder of the three High Court Judges in Ghana ( Justice Cecilia Koranteng- Addow, Frederick Poku Sarkodie and Kwadwo Agyei Agyepong), they murdered alongside futures Army Officer Major Sam Acquah on 30th June, 1983 during the PNDC military regime under Late Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings. DSP Edmund Ohene-Asah was working in the information room at the Ghana Police Headquarters @GhPoliceService by then. After national outcry over the gruesome killings of the three High Court judges, the PNDC government was forced to establish the Special Investigations Board (SIB). DSP Ohene-Asah became part of the core investigative team, alongside ASP William Oduro and Chief Investigator Jacob Yidana, tasked with uncovering the truth behind the murders. The biggest breakthrough in the case came unexpectedly. While working at the Police Headquarters in Accra, a heavily intoxicated policeman was arrested for misconduct. While in custody, the officer reportedly bragged that he knew who killed the judges, mentioned names and even described the vehicle that was used in the operation. DSP Ohene-Asah and his team acted swiftly on the intelligence, a move that cracked the case wide open. Their investigations eventually exposed the State Involvement. The probe implicated powerful figures linked to the PNDC establishment, including Joachim Amrtey Kwei, then a member of the ruling council and Kojo Tsikata But uncovering the truth came at a cost. As investigators got closer to the inner circle of power, pressure mounted. DSP Ohene-Asah and the others faced intimidation, threats and very difficult circumstances for daring to pursue justice during the PNDC military regime. The murder of the judges remains one of the darkest stains on Ghana’s democratic history. The Ghana Bar Association must not forget this dark history

Downgrading 9 to 5 jobs is senseless and unintelligent. It’s even sillier to look down on men who work honest jobs. Many of the most responsible, dependable and successful men wake up every day and go to work. There’s so much dignity in that. Next time, don’t use our images for such ignorant nonsense.

.. watching this Akufo-Addo video from December 2024 feels like one of the sermons on Jeremiah’s cautious prophecies. The old man really knew what was coming if Ghanaians made a mistake to return Mahama to the presidency. We’re seeing all he cautioned against play out like a Bollywood movie. @NAkufoAddo, Mahama has actually failed to keep the lights on and has failed on his 24Hour economy promise:
