@mmmadcccowalt When I used to goose hunt I would save the legs and make them in my crockpot. Then shred the meat and use it for corn soup.

I'm trying an experiment. Normally I don't keep the lower legs on turkeys we shoot because there is so much tendon in the meat. But I kept them last year. And I know what a crockpot can do given enough time. I hope I didn't ruin anything by throwing in 2 old goose legs.🤞

@butcheberly So it is the mating season , ok, thanks . I will keep my eyes open for that . I see more elk and deer on my trips. Rarely do I see turkeys , except at Wal Mart LOL

To turkey hunters, a question. in the last 2 weeks as I have traveled on rural roads in Arkansas to go hiking, I have seen turkeys in the fields. Is late March , early April the mating season for turkeys? Thanks .
