Every week it’s the same song: “questionable” turns into “highly unlikely” once the hype’s already done its job. If Kittle can’t practice, he’s not magically gutting it out on Sunday night, stop pretending. This isn’t gamesmanship, it’s roster reality catching up. And let’s be honest, the 49ers being cautious only works because they’re stacked. Any other team loses a weapon like Kittle and it’s panic mode. The Bears aren’t scared of the injury report, they’re relieved by it.

@GideonTownsend @PigPickle This is all very nuanced. I’m sky high on him as an athlete and as a receiver. The 49ers are mis-using him IMO. He’s not a NFL RB. He’s an electric receiver who’s never targeted. They either don’t see it or don’t agree.

He’s starting and playing (thru a groin strain) at LG.✅ -I’ve said many times for the last couple of years that Isaac Guerendo is not a RB, and that he has zero instincts for the position. That’s clear to all now. ✅ -I said I was underwhelmed by Luke Farrell. He’s been thoroughly mediocre ✅ -I said in July OT-Nicholas Petit-Frere was “the worst looking OL I’ve ever seen” at practice. He was cut the next day.✅ -I’ve said Austen Pleasants and Spencer Burford can’t pass protect at OT. Neither has played an OT snap and SF brought back OT Andre Dillard this week for a workout because they know they’re completely naked there behind Trent/Colton.✅ -I predicted that Bryce Huff, after a wasted season in Philly, would rediscover his pass rush in SF in this wide 9 scheme. ✅ -I predicted Siran Neal would make the team(largely due to his contract terms) when very few had him on the final 53. ✅ -I told you all that Darrell Luter Jr. had game and would make the roster despite most fans/media ragging him relentlessly in August. He’s here still and he’s about to bust out.✅ -Predicted great things for Nick Martin and Jordan Watkins and I’m on the verge of being proved correct twice there.✅ -Did a May video projecting Sebastian Valdez to be a surprising player in training camp. ✅ -Told everybody that Junior Bergen was nothing when he was being heavily celebrated. ✅ -Argued in July that Jake Moody’s competition vs Greg Joseph was a farce and that Jake didn’t prove himself. ✅ -I’ve missed a few too Tanner Mordecai Corey Kiner(still like him) Kendrick Bourne Austen Pleasants (in OTAs) Isiah Neyor, but I’ll put my takes up against anyone who covers this team. -Who called Purdy as player in OTAs and Training camp his rookie year? -Who was the ONLY person to publicly call out Chase Young for dogging it in the NFC Title game? Let’s be honest: the 49ers offensive line sucks and if you’re smart and know football, you could’ve seen this coming. Kyle Shanahan wants to run the ball and he can’t because the OL stinks, especially in the red zone. Brock Purdy was also pressured 16 times yesterday. This is on John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan. They don’t prioritize it or take it seriously enough.
