Read an interesting article in @wiwo, its a German Market / Economic magazine. They had an interesting article about the US and its issues wrt debt and interesting payments. Let's start with the simple... How low can we go? The USD-CHF is at a record low. If you go back to the 1970's you needed 4.2 CHF ish for a single USD. Essentially the USD has lost 80% of its value over that time period. This tells me that the market participants are not buying the US success story and there is a reason. Trump has been harping about Powell not lowering the interest rate. The reason as was pointed out in the article, the US needs to refinance a bit of 9 Trillion USD's this year. Interest payments already consume more than the military, and with this refinancing it could seriously blow up the budget. Currently it appears that the US deficit will hit 9% of GDP. That's not sustainable. While the stock market believes it is 1999 all over again the foreign bond buyers are saying something else and getting out of dodge. IMO here is the prediction, Trump will force out Powell, lower the interest rate to refinance. But that will be a shite-show of epic proportions. All of that just so the billionaire oligarchy can have its tax cuts! It is mind blowing to say the least. $USD #USDCHF #fed $DXY #trump

Iran and Yemen are despicable countries. With Israel attacking both I put the odds of Israel surviving as a country 50 - 50. You can't attack all of your neighbors who massively outnumber you and expect victory. What this means is that Trump is going to have to get involved and become a war monger president. OR he does nothing and watches Israel go down in flames. Bibi is making sure that Trump will follow him to the road of hell. I do not respect or like Iran and the despots, but this is the wrong approach by Bibi and Israel. #Israel

What if @realDonaldTrump were to announce that China tariffs would immediately be reduced to 20% and then escalate thereafter by 0.5% per month for next 12 months, and then by 1% per month for the next 12 months, and then by 1.5% per month for the next 12 months and so on? To the extent that China modifies its unfair trade practices, the increases could stop and potentially be reversed depending upon the degree of improvement in its trade policies. This approach would incentivize companies to relocate their supply chains from China while enabling them to continue to operate profitably during the transition. China would be incentivized to make a good deal with @realDonaldTrump as promptly as practicable while the risk of a dramatic shock to the US and global economies would be greatly reduced if not eliminated.
