Design guy. Font spotter. #PETSCII fanatic. Makes @PETSCIIBOTS, fake #C64 games over @64th_Dimension. Views all my own, my bosses have nothing to do with it.

@level106 @JazRignall Can confirm Australia, Nath. It came packaged with my C64, along with Arnie's America's Cup Challenge (as well as the mighty Lemans and International soccer carts). My dad and I played a bunch of that cricket game!

@JazRignall Here in NZ 🇳🇿 (and Australia? 🇦🇺), Ian Botham's Test Match was sold under the name of Arnie Armchairs Howzat Cricket Game. Which is almost as over-descriptive as The Great American Cross Country Road Race, but has none of the grandeur. 😋
Took me a few years to realise that.

@manfightdragon Holy shit, just reading that and finding out that not only were you pulled into it against your will, but you weren't even notified you were part of it. Astonishing.
English

@buzz_clik Twitch recently enrolled me (and a heap of other streamers involuntarily) into an experiment that EVERY streamer and EVERY viewer hates and it negatively impacts revenue. Watching the CEO explain "actually our analytics show its good for revenue" was fucking INFURIATING
English

@manfightdragon Oh, just the usual: people "justifying" paychecks by upending shit to appear busy

Okay, wtf is this on Apple Music? Because it sure as shit doesn't sound like a legit Janelle Monáe album. The music is generic plinkyponk background electronica, and the album art looks like a bland AI image.

I'm hosting a pixelart - "first dot to advanced technique" course from next month. The course is ten sessions every Tuesday and covers everything from 1bit to isometric and beyond. It'll be full of practical tasks and portfolio opportunities!

@gregnacu Holy crap, I've never seen this either and it looks aces! The wee train at the bottom is an unnecessary but wonderful touch.
I'm always amazed that the C64 is so old, and yet there are still so many good games from the heyday that I missed first time around.
English

I’ve never seen this game before. Looks good. I’m a fan of SuperCars. It looks similar, with upgrades that you can buy for your car.

Top Down Racers on your #C64 that hit top gear: #4: Hot Rod 1990. Always surprised this isn't more well known. It is far better than it has any right to be for a game based on an average arcade effort. Fancy some accessible top down #C64 racing fun? Here is a nice place to start.

@GBDudersFeed Oh wow, there's even a WIP Lincoln Force image in there! I must have sent it through mid-design to show the crew what I had in mind.

English

This is going to be a Tweet Thread for @giantbomb users that have been around for a while.
Former site director/designer Dave Snider published a "Museum" on their site that has all his designs over there years. There's a ton of old GB stuff there

@GBDudersFeed Fun fact: My original design didn't have the googly GB bomb eyes on it. Ryan told me to pop them on there, and he was totally right! Really brought the whole thing to life.
English

@ajgenerated Amazing! Love it.
(This reminded me to get at you over at the other place.)
