Huge shout out to @buzzingpixel. Their Ansel plugin for #eecms is fantastic. Every time I think 'I wonder if it does that' - it does, and it's well documented.

@buzzingpixel Hey TJ, are Collective's variables all ‘early-parsing’ by default? Devot:ee mentions them as being early parsing but the docs on BuzzingPixel don't mention that aspect at all, AFAICT. Can you confirm? Cheers mucho.

@kragit It seems like something is cached. I updated datamodel to remove that dependency yesterday and Ansel's composer.lock file is set for datamodel 1.0.1, which does not have that dependency. Can you try composer clearcache, then composer require buzzingpixel/ansel-craft:^2.0.0-beta3

Ansel 2 for Craft 3 is in beta! (finally). It's taken a lot of work to get here but it's been well worth it. This is hands down the best version of Ansel I've released (well, will release, technically) on any platform. It's on GitHub and Packagist. buzzingpixel.com/software/ansel…
