@ricklecoat You can certainly put it down as two, remember to split the pay and the tax between them to match that P60.

@HMRCcustomers Q: half way through the tax year my PAYE employer changed the legal entity that was paying me (ie. a different name appears on the payslip). In Self Assessment terms, does this situation count as 1 ‘Employment’ or two?
English

@HMRCcustomers (Self-employment being handled later: SURE, FINE. Understood. It’s just the PAYE bit that I’m worrying about and want to avoid making a mistake on.)
English

@ricklecoat You should be able to treat it as a single employment. The Self employment is dealt with separately, so isn't an employment for that question, there's a later one where you say how many self employments you have.
Steve
English

@HMRCcustomers Hmm… but on my P60 for that tax year (24/25) my income is split between ‘previous employment’ and ‘this employment’, suggesting two employments. Before I finalise the ‘tailor your return’ section I want to make sure I’ve got it right. (Ive never completed an SA form before).
English

@HMRCcustomers So presumably it counts as two separate employers(?)
Also, would self-employed income (on top of the PAYE job) be treated as an additional ‘employment’ for the purposes of that question (‘Tailor your return: How many employments did you have’)? Or is that classed differently?
English

@ricklecoat You're correct , payroll ID is internal, The PAYE reference should be 3 digits a / then some numbers and letters.
Steve
English

@HMRCcustomers Thanks Steve. My payslip doesn’t appear to have anything like that. I can see my NINo, my tax code, tax period etc but no PAYE ref for the employer. But I just checked my P60 from different years and it appears there and is different.
English

@HMRCcustomers I don’t know, I can’t see a PAYE ref on the payslip. I can see a payroll ID, is that the same thing? (Feels like that’s an internal thing)
English

@ricklecoat Hi Rick,
Did the PAYE reference for the employer change or was it just the name?

@TLRailUK Yeesh. See, it felt, logically, that that’s what would be required but I thought “No, there must be a more streamlined system, SURELY?” Get off one train, go right to the station exit point, tap, go *back* to the platform, wait for another train… that’s just *bonkers*, isn’t it?
English

@TLRailUK Q: if part of my journey is in my Oyster zones but remainder is not, how does that work? Do I just need a rail ticket for the bit outside the zones? If so, surely I’m then left having only tapped in (or out—depends on journey) at one end of the journey, not both. ???
English

@TLRailUK Well, to give an example: say I’m travelling from Hendon (north edge of oyster zone 3) to, say, Eastbourne, and I have a zones 1-3 Oyster card. Do I only need a rail ticket from the *south* edge of zone 3 to Eastbourne? And how to I ‘tap out’ as I exit zone 3 heading south?
English

@ricklecoat Hi there, contactless travel is available outside of the London fare zones. Where are you looking to travel to/from? Are you travelling with contactless, or Oyster? ^Will
English

@BethRigby I’d be surprised if he even has a plan to home, to be honest.

@ArgosHelpers Thanks for responding Bekki; I’ve tried to DM you but DMs at @argoshelpers seem to be handled by a chat bot that can’t understand the message.
English

@ricklecoat Hi Rick I am sorry to read your number has been used in error. Please pop a DM over with your contact number and if you do have an order number on any of the texts please send this too and I will send this off to be removed from the account :) - Bekki
English

@ArgosHelpers hi. An Argos customer has wrongly listed my mob number on their account, so I get their sms order confirms etc. Been going on for years and I’ve contacted Argos about it several time previously. Can you pls ask them to correct the error? Can DM w/ more details. Thx
English

@ricklecoat Hi Rick. Thank you for reaching out, you have up until 2 hours before the flight departure time to add the extra's on your reservation online. - Zintle
English

@easyJet hi there. Quick question: what is the latest that one can add an extra bag (large cabin bag) to a flight booking? What is the cut-off point prior to flying? Thanks.
English

@TfL Thanks, all sorted. I did have to call, as you can’t amend the name on your account from the website (fyi). Cheers again.
English

@TfL re. ULEZ scrappage scheme: my driving license and logbook give my name as Richard, whilst my RUC account uses the shorter form ‘Rick’. I presume this will NOT prevent me from applying? (It’d be silly to create a whole new RUC account just for this).
English

@LukeMiani genuine question: do you think the price of (3rd party-sourced) iPhone 13 minis will FALL (b/c it’s an older phone) or RISE (because it’s the only option for a small phone and no longer on sale direct from Apple) once iPhone 15 arrives?
English

And reply there came none.
Rick Lecoat@ricklecoat
.@Pret can you please explain why there is never any notification sent out to existing subscribers before your subscription price increases? It’s gone up twice in the last year, by £5 each time. No prior warning was given on either occasion. Why not?
