Is there some reason why the British public is so wildly statist on random issues like this?
You see 'OI! U GOT A LOICENSE MATE??' jokes but like, really, why are they so eager to ban and hyper regulate so many trivial things? Is there some cultural trauma I don't know about?

Another one to add to the British public love a ban list, by a 3-1 margin people back banning the sale of slushies to children. Parents of young children are the most supportive.

Writing an article and looking for some inspiration. What if instead of NAT and more NAT, we had just migrated to IPv6 some time in the early 2000's.
Outside of the obvious, how would this have changed the modern internet ?

@pumplekin Peer to peer might still be a prominent mechanism.
We might have refocused our energy on some of the more esoteric header concepts (lots more load bearing flow labels), or on multihoming techniques.
Shallow FIB boxes would have been valid in more architectures
