This scene becomes heartbreaking the moment you stop looking at it from only Boruto’s perspective… and start remembering who Naruto used to be.
Boruto looked at Naruto and saw a father who was never home.
A Hokage buried in paperwork.
A man constantly sending shadow clones instead of showing up himself.
Someone physically alive… but emotionally distant.
So Boruto lashed out and said:
“I’d rather have no parents than a father like you.”
But the tragedy is that the person standing in front of him was a boy who once sat alone on swings watching other children go home to parents he never had.
Naruto spent his entire childhood wondering:
“Why don’t I have a mom and dad?”
No birthdays with family.
No father teaching him.
No mother hugging him.
No warm home waiting for him after a hard day.
Just loneliness.
Silence.
And a village that looked at him like he was a curse.
That’s why this moment hurts so much emotionally.
Because Boruto was speaking from the pain of neglect…
while Naruto was silently carrying the pain of absence.
Boruto couldn’t understand why Naruto kept choosing the village over his family.
But Naruto probably couldn’t fully understand Boruto’s pain either, because in his mind, simply being alive and present at all already felt like something precious.
Naruto grew up with absolutely nothing, so he struggled to realize that emotional absence can wound a child almost as deeply as physical absence.
And that’s what makes their relationship so human.
Neither of them were truly wrong.
Neither of them fully understood the other.
Boruto wanted a father.
Naruto was trying to become the protector he never had.
One was starving for attention.
The other was starving for purpose.
It’s honestly one of the most realistic parent-child conflicts in the entire franchise because it isn’t built on hatred.
It’s built on love…
mixed with misunderstanding, emotional scars, and the quiet generational pain that keeps passing from one era to the next.

@AnJa_UwU @NarutoDaily_ It’s more like coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb..sasuke copied some taijutsu from lee but that doesn’t mean he can compared with lee in taijutsu..I think you get it.

English

@bwl97322 @NarutoDaily_ wasn't the genjutsu stuff from filler?
did he ever even successfully use it? definitely didn't help against Itachi when he wanted to save Gaara
English

@MakarenoShinobi @NarutoDaily_ I agree with you..I really frustrated when I saw the big difference between sasuke and Naruto when they meet in orochimaru’s headquarters.
English

@bwl97322 @NarutoDaily_ Meanwhile Sakura learned: healing jutsu, the super strength, how to curse poison, the regeneration mark (forgot it's name). Sasuke learned how to summon snakes, the lightning spear, the lighthing discharge from his whole body (that I think he never used ever again) and Kirin
English

@Gint0kiZer0 @NarutoDaily_ Well..Sakura was smarter than him[cuz she know how to break genjutsu since the academic period]and chiyo san have more experience..another point? [+chiyo was the one who broke the genjutsu with sakura]

English

@bwl97322 @NarutoDaily_ It was a clone and was one finger lol Sakura and Kakashi had to break him out
I don’t see the point of Kishimoto having naruto learn breaking basic genjutsu when he didn’t even do it lol
English

@MakarenoShinobi @NarutoDaily_ He didn’t learn how to benefit from shadow clones?!..
He learned from Kakashi how to benefit from the experience of each of his shadow clones no more.
English

@bwl97322 @NarutoDaily_ okay so he learned: basic trick, a slightly imrpoved basics.. he did not learned how to benifit from shadow clones, he learned it from Kakashi later, he learned ONE new rasengan which is literally just A BIGGER rasengan.
English

@Gint0kiZer0 @NarutoDaily_ Nah,even itachi praised him when he resisted his genjutsu when he fought him+itachi uses another kind of genjetsu..so don’t blame Naruto cuz he’s not like jiraya but he can really deal with a kurinai’s genjutsu..you can’t blame him since his opponent was the god of genjutsu.

English

@bwl97322 @NarutoDaily_ Naruto knew NOTHING about benefits from his shadow clones, only fought against genjutsu once and failed
Only learned how to do a bigger rasengan
Didn’t even know chakra affinity was a thing

They ruined everything when they made that movie..

Code Geass really set the bar when it comes to endings. Everything builds up to one clear direction, and when it lands, it just feels right. It’s the kind of finale that makes you sit there for a minute after it ends. Then you’ve got The Promised Neverland. Season 1 had everyone hooked, but when it came to the finale, a lot of fans felt like it rushed through things and skipped what made the story hit in the first place. One feels complete. The other leaves you thinking about what could’ve been.
