When Tagwa graduated to our Voi Reintegration Unit, Mbegu gave her short shrift, sensing competition for the coveted spot of matriarch. Luckily, the freeze out only lasted a couple of weeks. Now they work together to lead the orphan herd, with Tagwa acting as Mbegu’s able deputy.

The sight, sound, & smell of rain in the southern sector of Tsavo - an area hard hit by drought - is wonderful, but don't just take our word for it! Look at Mbegu leading the Voi orphans in their own celebration of the rain! The landscape needs more, but every drop is celebrated.
