75 days ago, I undertook a challenge that would turn out to be one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. Two 45 minute workouts per day, a clean diet, daily progress photos, reading, drinking a gallon of water, no alcohol, and most importantly — NO DAYS OFF‼️
Half the reason for doing 75 Hard was to prove to myself that I could commit and stay disciplined to something this regimented. (The other half was me really wanting to lock in for this summer). It took awhile to get in the swing of things, but after a few weeks, it become more and more of a routine that my body was adjusting to every day. I’ve learned an incredible amount about myself, and my relationship with food and exercise, along this journey, and it has truly changed my life for the better. I’ve also found that I really enjoy running, and I’ll be running my first race here in a few months! I truly could not have made it this far if not for my friends, family, and coworkers who have been so supportive and encouraging during these past months. I’m undoubtedly in the best shape of my life, but this is by no means the end. I plan to continue working out daily and being cognizant of the food I’m putting into my body. It’s quite cliché, but you really can do anything that you put your mind to 💪🏼
If I leave you with one thing, let it be something my amazing mother has said time and time again: Take good care of your body, because you only get one.
