This is the kind of guy my friend Grant Wahl was. He had a t-shirt made with the names of some of his fellow Sports Illustrated writers, and he wore it proudly.

Before Grant Wahl became one of the best soccer writers in the world, he was just as good at covering college hoops. We worked a lot of NCAA tourneys together at SI and he was a great teammate, sharing story ideas and contacts. Grant was the best, as a person and a journalist.

Coaches either wear the mask or don't but the thing isn't a chin strap.Talking it down to speak in a timeout defeats the purpose.I know you are testing. I know it's not easy but what you are asking of your players isn't easy either. Learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable.
