Multidisciplinary will give you 10K$ clients. When I was a kid I tried to build an iPhone out of cardboard. Because I wanted to understand how things are made. That curiosity accidentally turned me into a multidisciplinary designer. Over the years I learned: • graphic design • UI/UX • 3D modeling • motion • product design • storytelling At first I thought it was a weakness. People kept saying: “Pick one thing.” But the reality is different. The internet rewards people who can connect disciplines, not just execute one. A UI designer who understands branding moves faster. A product designer who understands storytelling builds better products. A 3D artist who understands UX designs better products. Being multidisciplinary isn’t about doing everything. It’s about thinking across systems. Design is no longer just pixels. It’s product, narrative, interaction, technology, and business — all at once. That’s the real leverage. If you're early in your career, don't rush to narrow yourself too soon. Explore widely. Connect skills. Then compound them. That’s how you become hard to replace. Multidisciplinary is not confusion. It’s creative compound interest.
