I am doing this because I think it's disgusting how much Palworld glorifies animal abuse.

@byofrog I am noticing that now. Is such a minor change it flew over my head. It it doesn’t look like it was being done to try and cover something nefarious up seeing as with all 120 designs Azurobe was the only provable case of model theft and the part they changed wasn’t the rip.

This seems like a good time to say that I think it's really funny that Pocket Pair went back and edited their models.

@byofrog It does appear to have had a change, but it’s just in the bead on the tail for azurobe. All I know of Grintail is the texture change with is mouth to make it more visually appealing. But other wise it looks like the modeler was like “I could have don’t better” and made tiny tweak

@JustYourDegen69 People are free to examine screenshots or videos of that particular Pal and look at the hair if they don't believe me. The Primarina model is free to download on models-resource.

@SaddestOtaku @hwtr_2 I was suspicious that Palworld was using Pokemon models long before the game was released because of the trailers they played at TGA. So, yes, I was prepared to examine the primary evidence as soon as it was released.

@byofrog @hwtr_2 Just forgive me for being a bit skeptical of someone who, before most of the content in Palworld was even known to the public, immediately thought to rip the models, make an anonymous account with a Nintendo PFP, and pin an incriminating tweet to their account.

@SaddestOtaku @hwtr_2 I just believe in being transparent about my motivations. If observers want to conflate that with being disingenuous, then that's their prerogative. Claims made on twitter should be examined carefully.

@byofrog @hwtr_2 One of two scenarios, either you have very poor judgement or you tried and failed to control the narrative and sway public opinion towards Palworld side. Either way it's no longer relevant.

@hwtr_2 They follow and retweet everyone else calling out Palworld, while making themselves look like a bad actor, attaching themselves to other artists and critics observations to make them seem invalid. It's controlled opposition, pretending to be a critic while actually defending them

@SaddestOtaku It's really easy to rip assets from Unreal Engine games. There are dedicated tools for unpacking them. That's why it was possible to access them so quickly.

For those who don't get it yet, byofrog had the models ripped and imported into Maya less than an hour after Palworld release and has a pinned tweet stating an ulterior motive. This account was an opp to make Palworld criticism look cringe.

@HGemsReviews Ah, sorry for the confusion. I actually meant to point out that the teeth were changed. I didn't notice that the eyes were so washed out in that screenshot.

@byofrog Nice to see you remembered the login for your account. The Grintale screenshot there is false. It still has the same eyes, you just have a really bad screenshot. I just booted up the game to check. There are other models that were changed. This wasn't one of them:

Unless, there's legal repercussions or indisputable proof that pocket pair stole assests. Imma keep supporting the game and having fun with it
