@octal I’d personally be satisfied if they just said an island in Malaysia. Stop the Singapore reference. Of course I don’t represent the genpop & general mob, where there are plenty of other nuances.

Confused why people care about the Malaysian visa status of Network School people (I’ve stayed there — no one is sneaking across a border in a small boat, overstaying or violating, etc). Bigger issue is “is this something Malaysia should do at larger scale elsewhere in country”.

Incredibly generous. What do I love about GPT-5.6 Sol? What’s not to love? I think the turning point for Codex was gpt-5.3-codex. Stuff just works, and the models just keep on getting better, and better. I don’t want models to look good in benchmarketing, they’ve got to be my workhorse, and do well with my evals. I’ve given it work on codebases that consist of TypeScript, Python, Go, Swift, and C# (don’t ask). It finds new bugs. It makes new features better. I find that reviewing code is so much faster and it’s generating correct stuff, usable stuff. But it is beyond code. Because now we have ChatGPT Work, and I also enjoy using Sol for hard problems even in plain ‘ole ChatGPT. Research is so much better, search efficient, and it analyses PDF presentations & spreadsheets with ease. Sure I still use Claude, and GLM, but my main workhorse is Codex & GPT-5.6 Sol. Added bonus, I don’t have to use it at such high reasoning if I want to save tokens. But Saint Tibo keeps on hitting the reset button, so I’m enjoying it in high mode and sometimes in /fast mode. Thanks OpenAI!
Tibo@thsottiaux

Or… what if we gave you $100 in Codex credits if you tell us what you love about GPT-5.6 Sol or why you switched? Tweet it, claim your gift, enjoy more usage. First 10k get the free tokens! switch-to-codex.openai.chatgpt.site

So for a little project to spread AI aided coding in education, to bridge the digital divide, I've been looking at the cheapest possible stuff, because that's the only way to spread it. The whole local AI model thing doesn't work when people can't afford that (duh!). - OpenCode Go is amazing - $5 first, then $10/mo. - GitHub Copilot Free - ChatGPT Go w/Codex - $8 - actually great value (to be clear, ChatGPT Free has Codex too!) Malaysia for example would benefit from Purchasing Power Parity priced tokens. Or if the government would smartly just provide it to every citizen for a period of time (we have seen this sort of thing from other nations).

@rabble Genuinely, how are you hitting your pro limits for codex with all the resets? Been tooling token efficiency stuff lately, so would be interested to check - pretty sure you can live within the $200 plan

I keep hitting subscription limits on Codex and Claude, so I'm going to try adding GLM 5.2 (z.ai) to the rotation. Cheapest approach I've found: one Max plan on each, then rotate through them as their... njump.me/nevent1qqstfhp…

@bytebot I sponsored 2 builders to join NS in the earlier months they opened, so I’m not against the program itself. But it does sound so sketchy when they refuse to publicly disclose it’s located in Johor. That, plus the sovereign state and israel inspired manifesto. Not a good look.

I only read the translation, but it seems Malaysian politicians do open their eyes when there is a furore on social media. Network School to be investigated. However, it doesn't, and shouldn't die down here. The fallacy of Malaysia is the lack of followups. Is no wrongdoing found? Do bribes fix this? Do we soon describe the new NS in Singapore (good luck finding such a building), as located on an island near Malaysia? I have no dog in this fight, but will be keeping a close watch.

Siapa membolehkan Network School bertapak? Adakah kita percaya kerajaan tak tahu?

$8 X sucks so bad. The ads are terrible. I can’t imagine what $0 X looks like. It’s not that I don’t enjoy ads. I love looking at ads. But those that advertise on X, somehow are bottom of the barrel, cesspool like stuff. and everytime you report an ad, it tries to upsell you

@Jason Berthillon for ice cream. Go to the original store, it’s a nice walk! I like Le Petit Vendôme and Les Jalles. Flottes has been a regular - great brasserie. Partisan is great for coffee, also KB Coffee Roasters
