In Santa Teresa yesterday, I met with local businesses and toured the border complex. This region is a critical driver of New Mexico’s economy, creating jobs, powering trade, and supporting families.
I’ve delivered for this region before, helping secure infrastructure funding for the Port of Entry in Congress and conserving critical water resources as Secretary of the Interior.
At a time when Trump’s tariffs are driving up costs and his war drives up fuel prices, New Mexicans are suffering. My approach will help counteract that and instead, grow our economy, create high paying jobs, and help families keep more of what they earn.

For the first time since 1970,Camden, New Jersey, a city once named among the nation’s most dangerous cities, had no homicides between December 21, 2025, and March 20.
Additionally, Camden recorded 12 homicides in 2025, the lowest number since 1985, according to the Camden County Police Department, @Matt_Enuco reports.

BREAKING: In a phone call just minutes ago President Trump told me Democrats want to make a deal on DHS funding but he doesn’t “think any deal should be made on this until they approve save America.” First I asked him how long he’s prepared to have ice agents help out at airports He told me, “For as long as it takes.” Then I asked “Some lawmakers are saying they should just fund TSA while they negotiate on DHS. What do you think about that?” President Trump said “Now that I did this the Democrats want to make a deal. And I don’t think any deal should be made on this until they approve SAVE America. I'm suing the Trump administration for illegally threatening to withhold billions in critical @USDA funding unless states comply with their political priorities.

Morris County Democrats have voted to endorse @RebeccaForNJ07, meaning that Bennett now has 4 of NJ-7’s 6 county party endorsements (accounting for ~80% of the Dem primary vote).
Result was close: Bennett beat Michael Roth 65-59 after 5 rounds of RCV.

The New Jersey state Senate and Assembly has approved three ICE related bills, sending them to Governor Mikie Sherrill for her signature.
The first bill aims to codify the Attorney General’s 2018 Immigrant Trust Directive into law, an order that restricts when state, county, and local law enforcement can aid federal immigration authorities and would prohibit state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies from stopping, questioning, arresting, searching or detaining anyone based solely on actual or suspected citizenship or immigration status.
The second bill limits information‑sharing with federal authorities. The bill also places restrictions on when the Motor Vehicle Commission would be permitted to share personal data on drivers.
The third bill requires law enforcement to identify themselves when detaining or arresting someone and limits the use of facemasks.

Thank you to Indivisible Las Cruces for having me, and for organizing when it matters most.
I was grateful to share my vision for New Mexico and hear from such an engaged group fighting for our communities.
I’m running for Governor because I know what’s at stake. ICE will not terrorize our communities. Under my watch, they will be unmasked and held accountable.
We’re going to get our kids reading earlier, expand trades in our schools, support law enforcement and address root causes of crime to keep our communities safe, make sure you can see a doctor when you are sick, and fight to lower costs.
