It's late at night. Somewhere a new mum, tired from the day's stress reaches for her crying baby and starts troubleshooting...does the baby need a new diaper? food? is it hot? chilly? Feedbabe helps mums track and manage their childrens' feeding schedule. Now with night(dark) mode, mums can log feedings without glare at late hours. Rounding up the last batch of tests, so we can push to playstores P.S. the pic is a mockup of the app, not AI generated

The design team @Risevest is arguably one of, (if not the best) in the fintech space in Nigeria.

When choosing typefaces for new projects, I always test them in context. A quick way to do this is create skeletal styles for titles and body text, then create situations they'd be used in. For example, for a website redesign, I would test with a website section (e.g. hero) and a blog card. These cover most of the use cases for websites, and I can cycle through typefaces till I find the one that best speaks to the project.

Deployed a test build of FeedBabe to Android and got feedback from a real user. I had to update a few things immediately based on how she actually used it vs how I assumed she would. Users don't follow your designed flow. They tap things in orders you didn't expect. They skip steps you thought were mandatory. They try to do two things at once that you designed to be sequential. Testing early saves you from shipping assumptions.

Sometime last year...i raised a point in supporting the abolishing of iri-ekpe (taking your brother's properties when he die without having a son) in my umunna (kindred)...It didn't scale through....I had to wait for elections of umunna to come...I contested for chairman and lost with 3 votes....then i was made the vice chairman unopposed....The opportunity to put an end to that taking over of a man's properties because he didn't have a son now lies in my own hand.... February 8th 2026 being umunna meeting... chairman travelled to China for business meetings and handed full authority to me to be proceeding on affairs of the meeting...I did what I have to do....I used just one meeting to put an end to that trash.....The only way you can inherit your brother's properties in my umunna currently is if he died without having a child at all and the wife die after and leaving no one else that's when you can now enter..... We will keep rising!!!!

All your brother’s properties belong to his wife and kids. Not you as a sibling.

A friendly reminder: If a designer posts a design and tells you what the client paid, there's a 100% chance it's a scam. It's either someone else's project entirely, or it's a fictional design made to put on their website. Block these fools so you never hire them.

A lot of @framer websites feel slow because images are handled badly. They are exported from Figma way larger than needed. If the image shows at around 700px on the website, don’t export it at 3000px for no reason. Keep it close to the real size, max 2x if needed. Better loading speed. Better performance. Less unnecessary weight.

Had a conversation with a mom yesterday who told me FeedBabe would have been really useful when she had her baby. That validation hit different. I'm building this because I watched my wife struggle with feeding anxiety after our daughter was born. Every designer says they're "solving real problems," but there's something about building for a problem you've actually lived through. Still early. App isn't even launched yet. But knowing it would have helped someone else makes the late nights figuring out React Native worth it.

Baby detail screen and feeding log modal for FeedBabe. When mothers are sleep-deprived and logging a feeding, every interaction matters. Key decisions: Alert banners when feed times are close:- "Aurora will need to be fed at 6:00am." Most critical info first. No need for searching. Conversational form, not traditional labels:- "What did you feed your baby?" instead of "Feed Type" dropdown. Less like a form, more like answering questions. Easier for moms to process when tired. Visual history with icons and color:- Scanning for patterns doesn't require reading everything. Visual cues do the work. Soft pink palette keeps it calm. Managing feeding schedules is stressful enough without loud visuals. Still building in React Native. Design decisions coming directly from watching what stressed parents actually need.

People who say that any design that works is okay for their brand or business but prefer Mercedes to Kia are the worst kind of hypocrites. Doesn't the Kia "work" for the use case (moving from point A to B)? You can understand and select a product you believe is better designed for your personal use, but draw the line at doing the same for your business. Worse still, pretend there is no difference just to pad your stance.

@MuyoSan 1. It wasn’t, if you consider advocacy for good design condescending, then you may need to check that you’re not turning into a typical Nigerian elder who sees pushback from younger folks as condescending remarks 2. Your assumption of business experience is flawed and unfounded

WordPress only looks boring in the hands of people who don’t understand design or development. Templates are a shortcut, not a limitation. The difference between average and exceptional WordPress sites is UI/UX thinking and technical depth. Dragging sections together isn’t design. Without understanding visual hierarchy and user behavior, you’re just stacking blocks.
