@ScottHughesCBB The judge can rule all they want, but the ncaa can take a stand and say if he plays, then they will be disqualified from tournament play! They won’t, but they should to prove a point themselves!
English

@CFBAlerts_ Can players refuse to go to class and try to not get caught?🤣 then put the school on probation.
English

@IrishHoopsLover Burton needs to be held out the rest of the year to reserve a redshirt. This team is not making the tournament.
English

Keeping Ahneman out is definitely a choice… we could REALLY use the big man depth but it seems they want to redshirt him…
Burton report is nothing unexpected.

Notre Dame men's basketball injury updates, per Micah Shrewsberry: Markus Burton (ankle) is "making steps." No concrete timeline yet, but he's progressing. Tommy Ahneman (knee) will likely redshirt. Notre Dame does not want to debut him in the middle of ACC play.
English

@KyleMSmedley @SBTsports @HannahHidalgo @IrishCoachIvey But the lack of effort recruiting and depth has hurt them. Yes she has a great class coming in, but what about the last 4 years. You can’t recruit just one girl every year.
English

@recruits_cfb I say 14, have the final 2 in play the first 2 out. This still gives power 5 a shot, but just prove it to officially be in the field.
English

The SEC would prefer to keep the College Football Playoff field to 12 teams, while the BIG Ten is still pushing for the new format to include a 24 team field, according to On3.
The four conference commissioners met this morning, but did not make any progress in their negotiations on whether the playoffs should be expanded to 16 or 24 teams.
I believe the current 12 team field is big enough personally, but what do you guys think? Realistically, are there even 12 teams that are capable of winning the title…

English

@jacksoble56 @BGInews It needs to start with his own son on the bench more!
English

Four in a row, three by double digits. None of the issues are new. Notre Dame has to make changes to its rotation, because what it's doing now simply isn't working.

@Pogi3991 @mattfreeman05_ @ISDUpdate Oh I don’t that was uncalled for and I am not a fan of shrews anyway!
English

@Chuck41X @mattfreeman05_ @ISDUpdate I agree. You can’t miss 10 free throws and expect to win. My problem are officials are not held accountable and they know it. Why not publicly reprimand them. They are paid just like everyone else.
English

@c_rassi @mattfreeman05_ @ISDUpdate If ND makes their FT’s (missed 10) - this would not matter. Take care of what one can control and let the conference worry about keeping officials accountable
English

@CFBGuy999 This is true. I feel like this could be adjusted somehow. The problem is the ncaa created a disaster and have no idea how to fix it. I’m still in the belief their payment is their education. Start making these kids pay for their college tuition like the rest of us who did then.
English

@c_rassi Most of the time it is a 1 year contract (or at least paid out on an annual basis). So when they transfer, they are just forfeiting any future $ that was on that contract.
English

@jacksoble56 Well ND can’t take the lead to suspend the official so why should nd doing anything more?
English

No suspension for Micah Shrewsberry, and if there is a fine, it was/will be handled privately.
Bennett Wise WDRB@BennettWiseTV
The ACC has released a statement regarding Micah Shrewsberry. There will be no suspension and the ACC sees the matter as “closed.”
English

@benbenbenbenly @DanWolken The official was waiting for his minute to shine and make it about him and he succeeded at that!
English

@DanWolken Cannot but also cannot have referees pridefully deciding games. The call itself, the emphatic signal, not good
English

Absolutely cannot have this from an ACC head coach.

Another angle of Notre Dame HC Micah Shrewsberry chasing a ref after the loss to Cal:
English

@Matt_Fortuna @PeteSampson_ And like I said nothing mentioned about the officiating in the end of this game. I do not agree with what shrews did, but cals coach isn’t innocent in this either. He berated the officials when they reversed the call too! The officials should be reprimanded as well.
English

The ACC has issued a public reprimand of Notre Dame coach Micah Shrewsberry following last night’s game at Cal.
“Shrewsberry aggressively confronted a member of the officiating crew following the game. The unsportsmanlike behavior that was displayed is unacceptable and tarnishes the on-court play between these institutions.
“The ACC considers this matter closed and will have no further comment.”

English

@jacksoble56 @NDmbb Now do we hear an apology from the officials or the ACC and the way they acted. Probably not!
English

Statement from Micah Shrewsberry, per @NDmbb:
“I want to apologize for what took place immediately after the Cal game last night. My actions were inappropriate and not symbolic of the leader I strive to be and what Notre Dame expects of its coaches and educators. I will learn from this lack of judgement and be better in the future. I want to apologize to our team, our University and its leaders, to Coach Madsen and his team, and to the ACC, as my actions were unacceptable.”

English

@franfraschilla @JacobPadilla_ And there isn’t a good official in the world who should call this foul as well. If we are calling that, then no player should be left in the game at the end! They should all be fouled out! That did not change his shot whatsoever!
English

@JacobPadilla_ Yes, I did. From ground level, he seems to jab him in the ribs or grab the jersey.
English

To reiterate one more time, unless you were playing flag football, there is not a good official in the country that would’ve called the first two reaches a foul. @CalMBBall @NDmbb
English

@franfraschilla @CalMBBall @NDmbb He didn’t miss. The ref decided to make the game about himself and waited until the moment to call the foul. 2 fouls should have been called well before the shot! This is on the officials.
English

For those interested in end of @CalMBBall @NDmbb game last night, this is the new “continuous motion” rule. You will see in the next video that the Fighting Irish player tries to foul at midcourt & misses. I believe the officials got the play right.
English

@therailbird333 @mattfreeman05_ @ISDUpdate I’ve never seen a call reversed and then reversed again. People are making a huge deal about shrews, but at the same time after the first reversal Cals coach lost his cool as well!
English

@c_rassi @mattfreeman05_ @ISDUpdate If that’s the worst call you’ve ever seen, you’ve not watched a lot of ball over the years.
English
