Whatever happens with Carrick, if it’s to be someone else, they will be walking in to a job that was completely different to the one he walked in to. They will be following a manager who finished in the top 5, not the bottom 5. A club who are in 5 competitions not one who aren’t in any. A club where players take a pay cut to stay, where players give everything to quality for competitions they won’t even play in and a club where we no longer fear getting embarrassed by our rivals. Carrick has restored the dignity of the office of the Manchester United manager, he has a class and a composure that builds trust with his players and has given us back a team that we can once again enjoy watching. He did this without signing a single player and if he doesn’t get the Utd job, he will rightfully get a top job somewhere else.

Even Andoni Iraola secured promotion la liga promotion with Rayo Vallecano. I can remember his team playing really exciting football defeating Madrid and Barcelona too. He has a much better CV than Carrick who's done nothing in his career. Just a puppet in Wilcox's hands.
