Let's cut through the shit. Real estate spent millions trying to stop tenants + Zohran and lost badly. Of course MAGA + landlords are attacking Cea Weaver. They know what's coming: a rent freeze and a new era of tenant power.

Across the mosaic of these five boroughs, a shared vision: to make the nation's most expensive city affordable for the people who call it home.

We call for an end to these attacks and call on media, elected officials and political leaders to publicly condemn this Islamophobia.

These attacks reflect the long and violent history of portraying Muslim, Sikh, Arab, South Asian, and Black New Yorkers as outsiders and threats.

Over the last days, mayoral candidates Cuomo and Sliwa and their supporters have launched a barrage of baseless hateful rhetoric claiming Zohran supports “global jihad,” that he would “cheer for 9/11” and running ads with the word “jihad” across his face. We are outraged.

When DRUM Beats backed Zohran last October alongside @nycDSA, @CaaavVoice, and @nychange, it was because we saw the chance to elect a mayor who would fight for the material needs of our people.

Zohran carried both AD49 and AD47 in Brooklyn, which are heavily Chinese districts that swung hard to the right over the last 4 years. They chose the socialist over Cuomo. That's remarkable.
