@0xEthanS @ludwigABAP even if open source models get BETTER than openai, openai still wins because you'd want to contract out datacenter and infra ops that are security cleared worst case AWS handles datacenter. integration still needs security cleared perf engineers best case specialised models win

i don’t think they will right now here’s my premise if you want to poke some holes in it. i think they are currently very good at coding and tool calling tasks. search & deep research are things you can do well now and no longer rely on a lab for. the harness layer (ie. claude code & codex) have been an incredible revenue source, but i’m sure better OS versions will emerge. all if this is basically just using to model to complete some sort of special task. if they can keep kicking the ball down the road by creating more similar products, i think they’ll be fine, but if OS model work well enough and are cheaper/faster ran by an inference company, it kinda crushes revenue

i just read lyrics for a polish military march and saw the word “blood” in i think genitive and it was “krwi” iirc. how do you guys even pronounce that it would be “krovi” in russian which is infinitely easier since you don’t have 3 consonants that need to be pronounced from completely different parts of the mouth but the language is so beautiful im in love really
