@cyclist_andyc I retired my Cannodale Carbon to the Wahoo Kickr. Very smooth ride but, not my favourite. Got it from a guy in Henley in Arden who went out twice and hated the traffic!! It’s 105 11spd and it’s done 1000s miles. 105 is faultless

This has been a real workhorse for me. Jamis Xenith Pro with Ultegra group set & wheels, first generation di2 with the battery fixed under the down tube, a mixture of raw & painted carbon & Ritchley finishing kit 👌. Now 14 yrs old & permanently on my turbo trainer these days.

Been out today for a ride that was a struggle TBH, not only was my head in the wrong place but the body's not working as it should. Been like that since gardening on Tuesday so I'm not sure this will go ahead now 🤔 #cycling

Drivers are making a war on the general population. It’s drivers who kill 1,800 people and severely injure and maim 27,000 more every year. This is not a war on drivers. Speed cameras don’t kill drivers and are easily avoided by driving a little slower.

@CB_cycles Younger and fitter! Guy I know back in the Midland headed off to Dovers Hill today. It’s a great climb and a nice ride from where we lived. Started the climb but, the road was closed! He was pissed off

@JennyJones1313 The keyword is “can”. Anyone doing anything can cause harm to others, but in the grand scheme of road use: they don’t.

UK urgently needs: - Cycling proficiency test/licence -cycling speed limits (electric& pedal) -bike registration no. so cyclists accountable -no cycling in parks/on pavements -mandatory bells/lights to alert people in dim light etc Cyclists can terrorise hurt & even kill others

@Absolutemtb1 Had one bike with SRAM alongside my Shimano bikes. Just felt that Shimano was slicker.

Just out of interest and no shade on either, but if you were choosing, would it be SRAM or Shimano and why?

Drive dangerously around cyclists in West Yorkshire and you will face consequences. A S172/NIP will land soon at the keeper's home. How can this motorist think overtaking on a blind corner like this is alright? Caught him at the nearby junction. Pointless. #Silsden #Steeton

The Welsh Government has just announced Christina Harrhy will be the new head of the Disused Tips Authority for Wales. Haven’t heard of her? She used to be the chief executive of Caerphilly Council. When she left the council she was given a £209,000 settlement after previously being absent for almost a year… The absence was initially through sickness for 2 months but she was off for 9 months more despite being deemed fit to work after raising concerns relating to former council leader Sean Morgan and a senior officer. A majority of councillors present at a meeting at the time voted in favour of the £209,000 settlement rather than pursue a lengthy and potentially costlier formal investigation or arbitration process. It does seem bizarre that the taxpayer has paid a woman £200k to leave her job for which she was absent for 9 months (while able to work) only for her to be given another very well-paid role at the taxpayers’ expense. I don’t know Ms Harrhy or have knowledge of her competency levels. Perhaps she is fantastic. The Welsh Gov say her appointment was following a rigorous and highly competitive appointment process But the ability of some figures to bounce around well-paid public sector jobs doesn’t always strike me as a robust system open to new ideas and change.

@WarksCyclist Since moving I’ve not had a successful outcome from Gosafe Wales. Same GoPro, same bike position etc. They say, bike not showing in Vid so NFA. Rear camera now fitted and you can see the rear wheel. Splice the clips together? Or what else. Any tips?

Simple solution. Avoid them. I do.

@CB_cycles I had a pump brkt same as that. It didn’t last long so off it came. Proper pump on the top tube if it would fit and they look okay or, electric pumps are popular. Thought about one but which one

@cadencechris Ages ago I fitted a bracket to hold my pump to the frame to go under the bottle cage, I had to find longer bolts but I think the threads didn't match and crossed which welded them in. Had the resort to cutting of the cage to remove them and broke the socket on the bottom one 🫣

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Removal of the old bottle destroyer cages was a little brutal as the old bolts had seized 🪚🛠🫣 So I've finally found a use for my Wolf Tooth bottle mounting system 😬 #cycling #ukcyclechat #cyclistproblems

@CB_cycles Yes they are. The Q7 should have yielded before heading over the bridge as I was on the bridge first. Should have stopped but Gosafe Wales are of the opinion I should have. Maybe my fault for 🚴 Police back in the Midlands are very good but not here
