Contemplating a stake in $EBAY here. Have a feeling this $GME nonsense is just them fishing to build a bidding war for someone larger to take them out.

@APompliano @ryancohen What? $AMZN is a completely different beast logistically over $EBAY. $GME is going for the collectables market. No way this happens. $GME is fishing for a bidding war to up the value of their shares.

Here we go. WSJ reporting Gamestop $GME has built a ~ 5% stake in eBay and is offering $125 a share in cash and stock. (20% premium to Friday close price). @ryancohen thinks Ebay can become a much larger competitor to Amazon. Cheering for Ryan and Gamestop here.

Ignoring the memes, it’s obvious $GME is leaning into collectables hard. Not a bad play given all the nostalgic millennials entering into their highest earning years. Now. Not sure I’ve ever seen a smaller company try and “buy” a bigger company to this scale. But perhaps they’re looking to push a merger?

@cashflow_king94 Yup. Mental load is too high for more than a few positions. Stocks are like children. The more you have, the harder it is to follow.

$200 a month - $100k at ~40 $300 a month - $100k at ~37 $500 a month - $100k at ~34 $1000 a month - $100k at ~31. $2000 a month - $100k at ~29 Compounding works crazy! Adding an extra $300 saves 6 years from 40 to 31. An extra $1000 only saves 2 years from $1000 This assumes you start at $0 saved!

@The_Money_Buddy How much is he making? Tough to say. Math dictates $1 - 1.3MM by 65. Is $40k - 52k a year in withdrawal “fine”? In LA/NYC/Toronto - no way In the Midwest/Saskatchewan/South - maybe?
