A high-risk maternal/fetal medicine doctor tried to send me home for the weekend after I stayed 3 days in L&D monitoring my dangerously low fluid levels and baby’s unsteady heart rate. I had a c-section the next day because my fluid was gone.

My daughter received a D in PE for running a mile in 10.40, and not the national standard of 8.32. She wasn’t even a runner, her first time was 14 minutes, dropping by 4 minutes is huge. They should score on progress not some standard. This is how a child’s spirit is destroyed.

Imagine if corporate/adult learning followed the same prevailing logic of secondary/post-secondary education that a course is only successful if students struggle to apply the content.

I don’t begrudge @WichitaUSD259 this number, because it’s a big job. But I want to know why market driven salaries are only ever a concern for district leadership. Does the market not indicate that certified and classified staff need significantly more pay to stay in the field?
