AI agents are starting to buy and sell services from each other automatically, no humans involved. Every time that happens, a payment needs to clear somewhere, and t54 just built the infrastructure that lets those payments settle on the $XRP Ledger instantly for fractions of a penny. The machine economy is looking for a rail, and XRPL just put its hand up.

Agent commerce is coming to the XRPL. With @virtuals_io, agents can transact autonomously: escrowed jobs, verification through evaluators, and programmable settlement. Using t54’s x402 facilitator, agents can already natively pay in XRP and RLUSD.

Just to be abundantly clear: It only appears on Replies and it will be used purely for ranking & personalization of that section. The Reply Algorithm is currently is the worst product in the company. There is no logic, no signal, just garbage. Replies could be ordered randomly with crypto spam at the top and it would probably be better than the current system.

For years @Ripple spent hundreds of millions fighting the SEC while every other crypto project stayed silent and hoped the lawsuit wouldn't reach them. The legal precedent that just handed ETH, SOL, DOGE and 13 others their commodity status was built on Ripple's court record. They took the bullets so the whole industry could walk through the door they kicked open. Nobody's thanking them for it.

The SEC and CFTC just classified $XRP as a digital commodity. No surprise, six days ago I told you they'd sort it themselves while Congress argued. The refs wrote their own rulebook.

The CLARITY Act won’t leave Senate committee before April. So the SEC and CFTC stopped waiting and just agreed to work together themselves. The refs sorted out their own rulebook. Congress still hasn’t shown up.

🚨 In 2020 the SEC sued @Ripple claiming $XRP was an unregistered security. Exchanges delisted, banks walked. Six years later the SEC + CFTC jointly signed a federal ruling classifying $XRP as a digital commodity. The same agency that tried to bury it just made it legal.
