@Rusty_Steed Yes so you can compare both datasets when you switch. GA4 is meant to use AI to compensate for users rejecting cookies so you should see an increase of traffic.

I learnt with YouTube tutorials. Same for WP. And you should check matomo.org for a more ethical + GDPR compliant solution.

@jasoncsking @JD_256 You can create specific goals (like in GA). It supports ecommerce (with close to real figures as no cookies blocked) and GA UTMs. You can implement it with a GTM tag and running Matomo alongside GA.

@JD_256 You should try Matomo. I’ve been using it with a few clients for 2 years in parallel to GA. I realised 40% of the traffic and e-commerce data wasn’t recorded in GA. I can give you a quick tour.
