Chinese scientists have found the fossil of Jeholia longchengi from Jehol Biota in northeast China's Liaoning, marking the first Mesozoic scorpion ever unearthed in the country. This rare scorpion fossil, dating back 125 million years, could provide insights into reconstructing the trophic dynamics of Jehol palaeo-food webs.

Following the last, we, in Cai et al. 2022-RSOS, formally treated Silphidae as a subfamily of the evolving family Staphylinidae, based on available phylogenomic data. Here Sikes and colleagues agree with this, with a critical review of evidence!
