this week @huggingface crossed 1M datasets 🚀 every open model you love was built on top of them next objective: more open coding session traces on Hub to push coding models even further 🤝 help push the open frontier by uploading your traces!

We just crossed 1,000,000 public datasets on Hugging Face! That's petabytes of data available that millions of AI builders are downloading, analyzing, and training AI models on every day! What's interesting is that we see a clear acceleration since agents started to be good as the number of datasets doubled over the past 8 months (it took 4 years to reach the first 500k). It's becoming easier and faster to build, share and use your own datasets! Many are saying the next bottleneck for more people to build AI themselves (instead of relying on APIs) is better data so we're just getting started! Thanks everyone for your amazing contributions, we couldn't do it without you!

Agent Traces on the Hugging Face Hub now have a new preview view, making them easier to browse and explore 🔭 Tell your agent to just upload its raw sessions to the hub and it works outside of the box.

it’s funny how boomer advice is actually the right advice for gen z yes bruh you do need to stop mumbling, stare ppl in the eyes, and tell that girl she’s pretty in person you do need to go touch grass, to do more than is expected of you at work to grow in your career, to sweat and eat real food but also boomers did buy all the homes and and prevent new ones from being built and have continued voting yourself more money, drying up social programs and pensions at the direct expense of your kids and grandkids My fav type of person on earth are those boomers who acknowledge both of these things

I have a ~200mb sqlite DB of the entire history of SF criminal court cases for the last 4 years that I want to make publicly accessible for anyone to query with AI. It includes roughly 77k cases, 319k court-calendar entries, 777k register-of-actions docket entries, DA arrest/prosecution data, attorneys, charges, and matched charge-level disposition/sentencing outcomes where available. It is a combination of data scraping, public records request, and SF DA data. It is extremely eye opening once you get to dig in. What is the best way to host this? MCP? Just put the file on public S3 and share the path so people can have their agents download it?
