Blaming the supernova entrant decline on the Steve rule is kind of crazy
People were negative on the venue switch to begin with, and every US major has seen a large decrease in entrants over the past year
Those are much more realistic contributing factors than Steve fans lol

At this point in Ultimate’s life, I think there’s no denying that acola is the GOAT by far. Doesn’t take away from anyone else, he’s just been that dominant for so long and I think he’s earned it

Hydrant closer to something like snake mine or villager tree.

I’m not saying that hydrant is as good, I’m just saying that the way Steve functions isn’t unparalleled. And it’s pretty easy to tell when someone uses pmlg given they don’t take knockback.

As for blocks, they are non-traditional for smash characters, but not so much so that they should invalidate results. They’re a part of the character, not entirely dissimilar from hydrant.

And can modify stages. 95% of the stages aren't legal cause they aren't fair but Steve gets to make his own.

@EdogNumbers I mean there is a decent amount of characters joker hard loses to and a lot of his attacks aren't safe. Also he struggled to kill without arsene and even when he has arsene if you hit him he loses meter.
