I had the chance to host the keynote at @CalHacks last weekend with @alighodsi, Founder & CEO of @Databricks, in front of 3,400+ student engineers. If there’s one thing the event proved, it’s that this generation was made for the AI era. Databricks is tripling new-grad hires this year, and you could see why. Today’s engineers are building, shipping, and learning at a pace that matches the technology itself. Ali’s message to the crowd: lean into that intensity. Congrats to the winners of the Rox Tech Prize at Cal Hacks - @vardhans03 and @jpsingaraju 🏆 We challenged hackers to build AI agents powered by LLMs - systems designed to act autonomously on messy, real-world data Their agent system that continuously monitors clinical trial protocols for regulatory compliance was fantastic!

From Friday to Sunday, energy drinks, mattresses, computers and tech start-ups littered the floor and tables at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, where nearly 3,000 “hackers” competed in the 12th annual Cal Hacks, a three-day hackathon dailycal.org/news/campus/wo…

Cal Hacks 12.0 was insane! I'm super proud of the whole team for pulling it off :D We had 3.3k hackers and 700 projects were shipped - that's double last year's Cal Hacks! Plus we did it all at the Palace of Fine Arts w/ great food, a silent disco, and beautiful designs.

7 years ago I flew from Canada to Berkeley to attend @CalHacks 5, and won! Today I attended CalHacks 12 as a judge! There were a lot of cool projects, and ran into a few familiar faces. The future is bright!
