@FIFABrit @TheHangryyAsian Tough one this.. while Madueke does do fairly well off the dribble in 1 v 1 situations, his end product is extremely poor and has never shown to be anywhere near prolific in final 3rd situations. Bowen, while not the dribbler, is a better scorer and chance creator in that area.

@TheHangryyAsian Strongly disagree that Madueke can’t break down a low block though. He’s shown he can score from distance and he’s also shown he can attack fullbacks 1v1 and create space to put the ball into the box He’s got all the tools in his arsenal to be a good impact sub

Saka is going to the World Cup and will almost certainly start Cole Palmer has been deemed below the necessary ability to even make the World Cup squad I have genuinely never seen a debate ended so utterly convincingly Saka IS the tactical fit for England. Palmer never was 🤷🏼‍♂️
B.@InvertTheWing

Cole Palmer has been below his usual standards for England this season. But even at his lowest, I think he has had a better season than Bukayo Saka. I believe in picking the lineup based on form and tactical profiles. Rogers in the 10. Palmer off the right. Bellingham and Saka off the bench.

@FIFABrit Understood, but I find that it’s a double edged sword. The weakness I find in these new age managers that live and die by data is the lack of soul their teams have in it. I don’t disagree that data has its importance, but it’s become almost more than the game.

The “incredible insight from Sean Dyche” consists of ignoring data and looking at goals and chances created 😂 This is the problem with so many managers of the older generation. They inherently understand the ideas that work, but haven’t understood that data SUPPORTS those ideas

Incredible insight from Sean Dyche.

@FIFABrit @BenJambo1 There’s some truth to that but I firmly feel there’s a level of quality attached to that as well.

Hugo “best signing of the summer” Ekitike: 10 EPL goals Viktor “worst striker in the entire league” Gyokeres: 10 EPL goals Interesting. Very interesting

@FIFABrit @BenJambo1 Aside from the math that can be argued down to the finer details, on the eye alone.. Ekitike technically has more polish to his game whilst being 4 years his junior. Gyokeres strikes me as a bull in a china shop, that will score periodically.

Waiting to get hit with this. But honestly, if you've got two minutes give that quoted post a read and let me know what you think.

Sunday afternoon and I'm sat here writing war and peace, but here's quite a niche angle. I remember a couple of years ago reading about how Pep approaches big games, similar to Liverpool today. If you search something like "Pep 1000 pass rule" it should pop up, but in short: “I had a manager who said when you start in a big stadium with a big crowd, shouting, pressure, you should make a thousand passes” A few years back I ended up tipping Rodri for passes at Anfield, it flew in. Going off this thinking, and assuming that City don't take an early lead, he should hopefully go with this approach again which means you could get some value. bet365 are offering player passes, but just 4 players are loaded, I don't think they'll add any more. • Khusanov • Silva • Nunes • Rodri But the main risk with this is it won't be covered by any form of Super Sub, if they go off then it's done. So I've had a look into the best of these players for City in terms of lasting the full 90. • Khusanov has played full 90 in 5/7 • Silva in 7/20 • Nunes in 17/19. • Rodri in 6/8 (counting one time he came off 89') So apart from Bernardo Silva, it's tough to decide amongst the other players. I decided to look into their recent pass form when starting, to see what their lowest line was. The lowest passes line for Khusanov and Nunes is 53.5 • Khusanov in 4 starts: 58, 68, 82, 72 • Nunes in 4 starts: 34, 67, 45, 56 The lowest passes line for Rodri is 72.5 Rodri in 4 starts: 113, 102, 116, 78 So I'm now weighing up if I go with Khusanov or Rodri for the passes, and quite a few lineups have a CB pairing of Dias and Guehi > Khusanov. So anyway, in a very longwinded way, I'm going to be backing Rodri for passes again v Liverpool. I wanted to show you how I worked it out so hopefully you can see the amount of thought and insight that goes into all of my tips and content, even if they won't always win. The main lines I'd look at are: • Rodri Over 83.5 passes @ 1.83 • Rodri Over 87.5 passes @ 2.62 • Rodri Over 92.5 passes @ 4.00 He's cleared that line comfortably in his past three starts, hitting 100+ passes in all of them. Let's see if the research pays off. 18+, gamble responsibly.

@bet365 @bet365help why are you not updating player props on Cucho Hernandez? How can you explain crediting him a goal without a shot on target, let alone him having two shots on target presently.

@AmorimEra_ It looks more to me that’s his preferred way of assessment.. He’s standing off at a better vantage point. Body language/attitude, application, approach sharpness.. He can see all of it from the off, it’s easier to miss when fully involved.

@OptaJoe how have you missed Dominic Solanke’s Shot on Target? Not only does he redirect Son’s shot which in turn is completely smothered by Alisson but goes out for a goal kick after the save bounces back off of him

@TEDDY127_ @ivanlapanje That’s what you got from this? ..not the switch of play, 1-2 with an instant layoff and instant chip into space behind the ‘beaten’ defensive line/press (without excessive AI coverage to bail the player out who failed to read the play/danger) ..all at SPEED and responsive.
